The stay was very much average. Which is quite disappointing considering that this is a very highly rated hotel on tripadvisor. Nothing really stood out and while they describe their rooms as minimalist design, I think having unpainted walls or ceilings was not appealing at all. The only other thing I can comment on is that the bathroom is not connected the room. You would have to take a few steps outside your balcony.

One good thing to note is that the location of the hotel does make it very convenient to see some local attractions.

Hello, I am very sorry you did not like our rooms. the rooms are painted with lime, a natural element that indeed gives a special feeling to the space... But I understand that some might not like it. Cheers, Alexis

Stayed here for third time and really enjoyed the relaxing ambiance, great pool area and helpful staff. Good location if a little hidden down an alley near the national museum and grand palace. Nice restaurants and art galleries nearby. Building work continues next door but didn't really bother us. Always booked so need to make a reservation. We stayed on for an extra day and had to move to a 'sister' hotel (The Tea House) which was terrible and nothing like Blue Lime - don't stay there.

The Blue Lime hotel is centrally located, just a short walking distance of the National Museum, the Sisowath Quay, the Royal Palace and the Silver Pagoda. The hotel was clean and all of the staff were friendly. It was a very secure hotel with a 24/7 security guard. The hotel is off the road and up a short entry-way. Without seeing it you would never believe that such a hotel could exist in such a built up area. Our room was on the highest floor and without a lift it was a pain to have to go up and down to the room. On arrival our bags were taken to the room, however upon leaving we had to get them down ourselves. All of the furniture in the room was made out of concrete giving the room a contemporary feel. Free Wifi throughout the hotel. Out of the back of the hotel there is a salt water pool set in a lush exotic garden. There are luxury four poster canopy sun beds around the pool, however as this is a little oasis in the middle of a built up area, it can be difficult to get any direct sunlight. Breakfast is served on the terrace near the pool which is a nice way to start the day. The included breakfast consists of a choice of pancakes, toast, fruit, eggs (done to your liking), bread rolls, cheese and passion fruit juice. You can also order other items from the breakfast menu which will be charged to your bill.

The downsides to our stay at this hotel was the air conditioning which was not very good and we had to leave it on all day and night and still we were not entirely happy with the temperature and also the shower which was just a trickle. Also beware that a building is in the process of being built directly next door to the hotel and work can begin in the very early hours, which made it very noisy. This building is really only a shell at the moment so it is likely that this building work will be going on for quite some time yet.

If in Phnom Penh take some time to visit the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum (20 min tuk-tuk ride) on the site of the S21 prison and the Killing Fields (40 min tuk-tuk ride). Both of these visits are quite sobering and give you the history behind the way the country is today.

We enjoyed our two night stay at Blue Lime because the location was great, the staff warm and welcoming, and the room was large & comfortable. Rooms come with a breakfast that offers guest a selection of Western or Asian dishes and fresh juice & coffee/tea. After a long day of walking around the city, it was a real pleasure to return to Blue Lime for a refreshing swim in the lovely pool. Also, we enjoyed sitting out by the pool in the beautiful garden to relax and enjoy a drink from the bar.
One recommendation we would have for the hotel: upgrade the bathroom towels. They are old, thin, and gray from washing.

Room Tip: We didn't think our room with a private garden was worth the extra money. Perhaps if you would l...

I was originally booked into another hotel, I visited the Blue Lime as I was meeting friends there and was immediately impressed. So much so I cancelled my other booking (I was traveling to Kampong Cham and coming back to Phnom Penh so I did not put the other hotel out) and booked in with the Blue Lime.
The rooms (I stayed in a superior room) are lovely and clean. The bathrooms are great, especially the shower. I really appreciated the shower after returning form Kampong Cham!!!! The house cleaning girls are sweet and efficient, the reception staff are great and helpful.
The pool is like a secret lagoon!!!! Awesome to cool down in after a big day or an excellent escape if you need a break.
Breakfast is fine, not a lot to choose from but adequate.
My only issue was the building next door. This is not the fault of the Blue Lime, but construction noises disturb the serenity of the hotel. Fingers crossed it is finished ASAP for those looking to book the Blue Lime in the future.

Room Tip: I think a room towards the back of the hotel would be the best. If you are not fit then perhaps tell...

perfectly located behind the national museum, this modest and originally furnished hotel offers a nice accommodation with swimming pool, wifi, bar and also have nice and helpful staff. We also managed to arrange our transport to siem reap and tuk tuk service directly at the reception with no overcharge on market prices.

Pleasant but bland, this low-rise hotel's location is ideal: within walking distance of the National Museum, the Royal Palace and the Silver Pagoda, and Sisowath Quay. This place is not only clean and friendly but doles out free and fast wi-fi internet connection. Their breakfast is average but the passion fruit juice is excellent. The hotel also has a beautiful small pool.

We stayed in the uppermost floor because there was no more room available in the lower floors when we arrived in the wee hours of the night in Phnom Penh. It was extremely difficult for us, especially to my elderly mother, to go to our room because of the steep and narrow staircases.

Room Tip: Do not stay on the uppermost floor!

Dear Guest, I am sorry about the stairs to the third floor, indeed very steep! Nothing much we can do about that. We looked at various options but nothing seems to fit.... Cheers, Alexis
