“Central Oasis in Phnom Penh”
Reviewed October 12, 2012

I stayed in one of the Private Pool rooms for 2 nights. The rooms may seem bare to many, subsisting of concrete floors, walls and furniture, however there was the occasional splash of color. The private pool was large and a comfortable temperature (in late September). It could have used a cleaning to remove leaves and bugs but it wasn’t to bad. The shower had plenty of hot water and good pressure, however the towels were stained, a major detraction from the overall feel of this hotel. The breakfast included in my rate was diverse and of good quality. There were always tuk-tuk drivers outside although there are many sights and restaurants within walking distance. Overall I would recommend this hotel for its private pool rooms for a cool respite in the heart of Phnom Penh.

I loved the Blue Lime. Although they are currently building next door I really enjoyed my stay. The staff were welcoming and helpful, the pool is beautiful and the location is excellent for the palace, national museum and the riverside. I would recommend the hotel and definitely stay again when I return to Phnom penh.

Room Tip: All rooms are nice

The hotel is gorgeous and the staff lovely. We stayed in a garden room but there is no fly wire on the doors or windows. The Mosquitos are terrible so you can never open the doors or windows which for a very stuffy room. I wouldn't recommend or stay here again.

Room Tip: Don't stay in the garden rooms unless you want to be eaten by Mosquitos and ave loud pub noise.

Dear Guest,

I am very sorry you suffered from the mosquitoes at Blue Lime. We have installed mosquito nets on all the beds of the garden and pool rooms as they were more exposed. We also have bought a sophisticated fogging machine last week with which we will spray our properties twice a month. There has been quite a lot of mosquitoes in Phnom Penh this September and it has indeed been a real pain!

Cheers,

Alexis

An amazing hotel, a beautiful oasis in the middle of Phnom Penh. Perfectly situated next to the Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda and a short walk to the riverfront.

Rooms were beautiful and reception staff were excellent and most helpful throughout our stay. Breakfast was excellent every day along with bar staff and the beautiful pool.

I cannot fault this place.

Great little touches. Biggest treasure it has is the wonderful Geraldine at reception. Its such a pleasure dealing with professionals who know there stuff and have great local knowledge of their city. Romms are reasonable well appointed with nice little touches such as fresh flowers each day. There is a little bit of construction next door but its is very unobtrusive. Exercise regime at Blue Lime is excellent, those stairs are a great aerobic workout a couple of times each day. Beware of the bloody agressive tuk tuk drivers every where you go. Tuk Tuks are the only downside of this wonderful city.

Downsides were that we requested a twin room but ended up with a double and the building site next door.
However, the good points far outweigh the bad.
The pool, the food, the service, the safety, the peacefulness, the friendliness of the other guests and the good vibes all made blue lime well worth a visit
Would definitely recommend

We really enjoyed our stays at the Blue lime. We started our trip with one night, July 25th, in Phnom Penh before leaving for Siem Reamp. We had a regular room with a balcony. That was perfect. We finished our trip to Cambodia with two nights, August 6-7, in a private pool room, and this is a little luxury that worth the price. Tuk tuks in front of the hotel are very friendly, we were friends with one guy named Johnny, but probably not his real name, but such a nice man. At the Blue lime, you are walking distance from central market and a few nice monuments to visit. We hardly recommand this hotel.

Sorry if any mispelled words in this review, we are french canadians and english is a second language.
