“Stay on the 3rd floor”

I'm not that sensitive to noise, but my sleep was disturbed by noise at the Quay - a pity as it is the only problem with this lovely boutique hotel. We stayed on the first floor and the traffic noise from the road was notable. The next weekend we were allocated a room on the fourth floor and were disturbed by the bar on the roof terrace directly above. Try to get a room on the third floor!

If you don't stay here - do eat in the ground floor restaurant or go up to the roof top bar for drinks. The latter is a great place to watch the sun go down.

A smart hotel with all the luxuries of home. Hotel room had everything from 40" TV to remote control curtains, wet room, ceiling fans and air conditioning. The only time we ate in the hotel was breakfast, which was ordered from a room service type card. A unique way to order and the breakfast itself was substantial and delicious. The only air of caution is we had one of the river facing rooms, which over looked a main road. Although not for us, road noise could be an issue for others. Staff were friendly and helpful and apologetic as we arrived at 11 am and the room wasn't ready until 2pm, however we would still recommend this hotel.
The hotel is in a great location and is within walking distance to the Grand Palace, Temples and the National Museum. We arranged with the hotel for pick from the airport, but found local travel agents offered cheaper taxis when transferring to the coast. We were quoted $130, $70 and $45 for private transfers to Sihanoukville, so worth shopping around. The hotel has a roof terrace with a bar and decking area and we felt it could have been better utilised as a sun lounge. When visiting Cambodia take small denominations of US dollar bills

i'd say... if you happen to find a good deal online, consider the quay for a short stay in Phnom Penh. there are just 2 types of rooms, small and large. the small ones had no window which is ok for a few days but not for a long period of time. the hotel is pretty new and is designed in style. however... unfortunately the maintenance of the place is far from perfect. when i visited i had been opened for a year but some bits looked already old (parts of the bathroom, the closet...). the place is in a great location (right by the river and within walking distance of the royal palace), the staff is super friendly and the restaurant downstairs serves OK food. as most stuff in PP it isn't the cheapest, but not too expensive. the 'jacuzzi' on the roof is smaaaaall

Lovely hotel, huge room overlooking the bustling roads and river below. Breakfast topped off our short stay of 2 days. At night wandered down the riverfront bars and restaurants.

I stayed at the Quay as part of honeymoon to Cambodia. The hotel itself is fine - quite trendy, boutique hotel with a nice roof terrace. However the customer service is outrageously bad. We had initially booked a two night stay but ended up cancelling one night. I had paid in advance by paypal and they said this was fine and that they would refund us asap. TEN WEEKS later and I have received nothing, despite sending at least 15 emails. On two occasions they have emailed me saying the refund has been arranged by nothing has materialised (and it's paypal, so if they had really arranged a refund, I would get it instantly!). I even tried to call them today only to have someone hang up on me.

As far as I am concerned, holding onto my money is theft, and lying to me about it is truly disgraceful. If you do decide to stay here, whatever you do, don't pay in advance as if for any reason you cancel (and our cancellation was well within the acceptable cancellation period) you most likely won't get a penny back. I certainly wouldn't go near any of their properties again.

By the way, if you scroll down further you will see two other reviews from people who never got their refunds either. I only wish I had seen those before I booked with them!

As we were driven by tuktuk to the hotel I was thinking wow what energy Phnom Penh as.As we steeped into the lobby of the hotel,it was like being transformed into another world. The hotel is so modern, fresh and clean. The location is great, being on the Quay and a short stroll from the tourist attractions. There are plenty of bars and places to eat nearby. The room was very modern witha fantasic bathroom. We were given a room at the rear of the hotel, not sure if the rooms at the front are more expensive, but would suggest you check, as the rear ones have no windows therefore no view!I You can go onto the roof where there is a roof terrace and bar,the views from there are spectacular.Breakfast was good.Considering the city you are in, this hotel as to be stayed in to understand why it is so innovative.

Great Hotel with a few picky concerns. Pros: great location on the river, cool decor, great service, good food, great happy hour, clean, wonderful housekeeping, friendly staff, bed was comfortable, nice flat screen, fast internet, hotel tries hard to please and it shows. A few small things I didn't care for: bathrooms are different and creativily done (great shower), but could use more light and a soap dish in the shower, and more vanity space. No desk in the room and wifi did not work well on the bed so had to plug laptop in landline on opposite wall from bed which was awkward. The biggest problen was noise, construction started early and the sound from lobby came right thru the door even though I was on the 2nd floor. Noises came from all sides and above as well, maybe just the acoustics of the building. Be prepared to be swamped by drivers everytime you leave which got a little tiresome. Overall a good boutique hotel with good potential and a decent deal at $95.00 USD with breakfast and $20.00 per day food credit, however would not want to pay more than that at this time.
