“Experience a little Buddhism”
Reviewed October 15, 2012

Welcoming is the word that Buddhist temples evoke. You feel comfortable making an offering and standing your taper alongside those of the faithful. You are free to join in or just observe

“A rather ordinary temple.”
Reviewed October 8, 2012

Located very close to the river, this temple does not have any unique characteristics on its outside, but once you get in, the serenity of the site is contrasted by the oh-so-tacky inside of the shrine, especially the casino-style light surrounding Buddha.
The monks, however, are the nicest ones we've met in Cambodia and surprisingly enough, most of them were fluent in Enlgish and gave us an extensive tour in the temple.
30 minutes is more than enough (in case you want he complete tour). Otherwise, a 10-minute peek will do.
Don't miss joining a soccer match with the monks if you see them play. It was so lovely.

“One of the oldest Buddhist pagoda in Phnom Penh!”
Reviewed September 14, 2012

It's the oldest temple that many King of monks in Cambodia stay, until today. From reading its histories when I first enter to this place I already felt that it's an interesting place to visit especially climb up the upper level building to see those statues.........etc.

“A best place to visit!”
Reviewed September 14, 2012

It is the biggest Buddhist center in Cambodia and it is also the oldest active Buddhist temple in the city as well. It is serving as the largest Buddhist education center in the kingdom. If you would like to see all the beautiful saffron robes of the monks and young men in yellow robes, this is your choice when you are in Phnom Penh.

“A Place of Spiritual Peace and Beauty”
Reviewed September 10, 2012

Don't go here unless you appreciate Buddhism or spirituality. Go here if you have respect for the divine aspect of life and feel the energy that these beautiful practitioners of Buddhism have created.
