“Comfortable, good value, basic”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 6, 2012

Stayed recently for two nights as part of an intrepid 'basic' trip. Hotel is nice, decent location just a couple of blocks back from the waterfront and the restaurants, pubs (ect). Staff were very friendly. Prices in the hotel's restaurant are good. Rooms are basic compared to some more expensive hotels but were comfortable, clean and had air-cond.

This year I brought an entourage of 4 university students to accompany me on a volunteer stint and we stayed the first night here. Everyone was surprised by the clean & spacious rooms and the close proximity to restaurants, markets, etc. We had a few meals at the restaurant as well, all very good, especially the noodle soup and iced Cambodian coffee for breakfast.
We stayed in the "new building", across the street from the restaurant. The large rooms have 2 double beds, a toilet/sink/shower combo with hot water, TV, A/C & fan, mini-bar & free water. Tuk-tuks available waiting right downstairs(I use the same guys everytime I stay here).

Room Tip: Get a room in the new building, with a balcony.

We were here for 8 nights in March 2012.
Very nice hotel. We stayed in the new annex across the street. Very big room, well laid out. All room amenities worked fine, A/ C, mini fridge, 2 bottles of free water per day. We can't get over the fact that many hotel rooms in SE Asia don't have a separate shower. The entire bathroom becomes the shower. Gets wet but dries in no time in the heat.
The bed was excellent and soft.
Hotel staff were very helpful and friendly, as was the restaurant staff, and the food was delicious.
Good location, within two short blocks of the riverwalk and many cafes, restaurants, hotels and guesthouses catering to Western tourists.
The only drawback and this will be temporary is that they are dismantling a building right next to the new annex. All by hand. So the sledgehammers start at 7 am and last until 5 pm. For us, it was not a problem as we were up early and out if the Hotel for the day early.
On the last night after a torrential rain we had an infestation of some kind of beetle, dozens of them were crawling under the room door until we stuffed plastic bags under the door to keep them out and killed the ones that got in. No problem after that.
Good hotel, would definately recommend this Hotel.

Room Tip: Wear ear plugs for a good nights sleep. Lots of street noises all day and night.

We stayed here for 3 days. Decent location in Phnom Penh.
We had a room in the corner with 3 beds so we did have more than enough space!
Rooms were clean, our bathroom was of pretty good size and clean also.
No lift in this hotel but staff very friendly and helpfull.
Breakfast outside on the street was really nice!

We were a group of 32 (29 high school students) and we stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. The staff was very friendly & nice and breakfast was delicious. The hotel was located very close to great bars and restaurants and the main street along the river.

This is a great hotel for people on a budget; it is safe, clean and in an nice location and the price is right!!

Room Tip: The third floor has a nice big patio space with a table which was nice to hang out at in the evening...

Maybe it was because Phnom Penh is my least favorite city in Cambodia or because it really just is subpar. The hotel staff was GREAT. They were extremely helpful and ready to answer your questions but every thing else was average. The wifi was extremely slow and unreliable. The rooms had beds, a fridge and a barely functioning tv (which you don't need to watch but the city shuts down at 5pm so you get a little bored when you've got no where to go). We had a windowless room but still managed to be fighting with mosquitoes.

Overall, it was pleasant enough but I wouldn't go back. The services offered by the hotel and the restaurant was great but there were a few things lacking that could've made the stay better.

Room Tip: There is a difference between "Small" and "Big" Bathroom. The Big bathroom cont...
