DO NOT take the walkway from Brunei Museum to Malay Tech Museum, it is falling apart and unsafe! Needs to be replaced immediately.

This museum consists of 3 galleries, all very tiny and quick to see. They showcase the traditional technology of the local culture. Each gallery is located on each level of the building.

I personally would not come back here and would give it a miss if I had better things to do. Very dull and uninteractive.

This museum, which is difficult to find off Kota Batu, appears old, run down and empty from the outside and rubbish is everywhere around the river bank. Fortunately, the two floors of exhibits themselves, which demonstrate the tradional life in Brunei´s water villages, are quite interesting, but not worth a special trip to see. Having seen them, there is nothing else on offer and you get the feeling the place is not really looked after or invested it. It is a shame because the area around the museum is beautiful and so much more could be done with a rennovation of the museum, cafe, etc.

This is the history of the River houses from 1940's to present.
It really shows how hard these people worked to establi9sh a life on the waterfront.

I like this market. We bought breadfruit, mango, papaya and bananas and were stunned to find that everyone spoke english and could explain what we were buying. Great place for photos too.

Very disappointing. Two levels of built models of the water village. Give this a miss unless you have absolutely nothing to do.
