I found this hotel, in the heart of Dhaka, a solid match for the Westin, where I stayed last time. The facilities were excellent, the breakfast hearty and the overall ambience an ideal retreat from the crowded, noisy streets of Dhaka. It is also convenient to shopping, including the wonderful Bangladesh natural pearls.

Great guest rooms and employees. Clean and Business minded setup. Close to the airport .. Price is delicately higher than average. Food selection is too much for the morning meal but less on dishes. The time was actually not enough to do a great review. As for first married couple they could have done some special things for us..

Radisson has one of the larger properties among 5 star hotels in Dhaka, it is conveniently located 10 min away from the airport. I would recommend the hotel to people who plans to travel to Northern areas of Dhaka like Uttara, Gulshan, Banani, Bashundhara or Baridhara.

I felt that the restaurants and general ambience inside the property is nicer than Westin, but the actual rooms come a little short. Westin have bigger rooms with comfier bed.

Also Radission would get a higher rating for family and couples as it's much quieter with relaxed green atmosphere compared to the extremely busy Westin location. But the room rate needs to come down significantly in near future once Hilton, La Meredian and Sheraton opens up.

The Hotel is one of the best in town due to not so much International Hotels in town. In the moment there are only 2 other International brands in Dhaka the Westin and Pan Pac. The Hotel himself is ok, nice rooms, clean and not far from the airport. When you have business to do in Baridharra or Uttara this is the most convinient Hotel.

I am a lot of time in Dhaka and I have stayed in the Radisson as well at the Westin and both Hotels are nearly the same in price and value. Both of them are totally overpriced but this is Dhaka. I like the Radisson more because they have an outdoor swimming Pool.

I come there for years and at the beginning they had great Western Brekfast items and also local food. Since more than 1 year I observe that the most of the items are cut and not replaced or replaced with cheap local items especially vegetarian items. They had at Breakfast a great fresh squezzed Juice life station with orange, grapefruit, pineapple, mango, apple, pear etc and also fresh vegetable juices like carrot. cucumber etc. what is also gone and replaced with cheap tetra packed juice only apple and orange. Also the Lunch Buffet is in depend on to last year a joke. Same to the Dinner Buffet were they had always a great choice of International food and local food. This mixture have made the Restaurant great but now there is no mixture sometimes I think I am in a Indian Vegetarian Restaurant. The Sublime is good but can be better like it was 1 year ago. And what I say they only raise the price but add nothing to the Buffets and the good imported items are gone.
As I remeber they had two years ago in the dry season a great BBQ at their Poolside and this was outstanding. A lot of appetizers, a soup, mouthwatering steaks like lamb chops, tenderloin, striploin, rib eye, t-bone, beef skewer all imported from Australia and king prawns, salmon and local fish all grilled at the charcoal grill fresh when you order, a wide range of side dishes and a great delishes dessert Buffet. That was one of the best BBQ's what I have seen in the world and i travel a lot. It was always full of people and they stop it last year. I ask me why?????

This Hotel will have big problems when new Hotels are open when they not improve their service and offers on food. The managment must work hard to bring the standards back like they was.

In the near future hopefully the new build Hotels will finish and refresh the Hotel Market in Dhaka.

Room Tip: try to get a room with view on the pool.

In Dhaka for business Sept 2012. The room was very comfortable with good bathroom, lots of space and a good work area. The recreation facilities were excellent including great outdoor pool and modern, well maintained gym. Staff was pleasant and helpful.

Wireless internet was nearly non functioning throughout my visit, in both my room and the common areas. Before staying again, I'd ask about that first. I ate in 2 of the 3 hotel restaurants and they were 4 of 5 stars. Good, not great. And the price was high...$300+ per night. OK if the hotel is immaculate, but a bit pricey for a hotel without internet the functions.

I'll probably try it next time in Dhaka, as the property is nice. But I'll be looking for the negatives to be better or I'll be trying the Westin.

Room Tip: Get a high room. The piano in the lobby can be loud on lower floors.

Of a small choice of 'luxury' hotels in Dhaka (2), this is definitely my choice.
A few restaurants with variety of food choices, top floor one is best!
Nice pool if you get a chance to escape & relax there on your trip..... It is an oasis of calm vs the hectic Dhaka & convenient to the airport.
Always choose here!
