It is not Dan Marino, Popeye Marino or San Marino!
It is The Marino in an exclusive and upscale area called Uttara in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Like most travellers, what I liked best about the hotel is the distance from the International Airport: just about 20 mintues.

Though located in a posh area, it is a budget hotel. Staff are gentle, well-mannered and helpful. Food has Bengali flavour with a mix of continental. A lot of markets in Uttara and in neighbourhood makes shopping easy and enjoyable.

My family stayed for 4 days at Marino and enjoyed the the safety and services offered. One thing the customers need to be careful is the steps at the entrance: steep and slant.

Very good accommodations and location. Excellent staff.

A friendly gentleman met me at the airport to ensure I arrived safely. Then I was welcomed at the hotel with a cool drink.

Good size corner room. Quiet street. Elegant dining room. Close to the airport but no noise from planes.

All the staff were attentive and hospitable in a sincere way. They seemed genuinely glad I was there.

This is the second time I stay here. It is close to the Airport. The staff here tries to please you in any way possible. I had a problem with wifi signal, and they installed a router in my room, and while being installed they served me a cup of coffee. The whole staff does their best to help you, but especially Mr. Sabbir, who besides English, he is also able to help you in Spanish. They are setting up a new menu in the restaurant, which will include some tex-mex items such as burritos and quesadillas.
The room is big enough and has everything you need to make a comfy stay.
I will definitely come back to this place.

Don't be put off by the steps outside, this is an excellent budget hotel not far from Dhaka International Airport.
- The staff are all very polite and could not be more helpful.
- The collection service from the airport is excellent.
- The wifi is very good and there is a good selection of tv channels.
- The rooms were clean and comfortable.
- There was plenty of hot water in the shower & the AC was good.
- It's surprisingly quiet and you don't hear traffic. It is close to the railway line but I wasn't kept awake by trains.
- Watch the prices on the restaurant menus as they don't include service or tax.
- As a woman travelling on my own I felt comfortable and safe.
- On my most recent stay I wasn't troubled by mosquitoes but on a previous stay they sprayed the room on request.

I am a regular guest in this hotel. Being staying here atleast 30 to 40 nights per year since 2012.
You must consider this as a Budget Business hotel. Is also suitable for families as well.
Rooms are clean and good value for money. Wifi is good and so is the television and Channels available.
Restaurant is OK. Has a basic business menu catering to all geographies.
Staff are courteous and helpful. Restaurant is willing to make modifications to the food as per choice.
They do tend to over charge on the food. However, you can manage if you take care.
Do suggest for Business travellers on a budget.

Room tip: Some rooms are small. Take care when check in
