This place attracts a large number of korean and chinese visitors so that is a good sign. The service is a little to speedy for my liking and you can have your meal in under an hour. So better just for eating than for a full evening out. But its very good overall.

I looked up this restaurant by trip advisor , and I thought of trying it after looking at the reviews and all.I visited this place with some friends , and we were all Malaysian who was craving for Chinese food after being in Dhaka for few months...when we went there we ordered fried rice , chicken with cashews and sweet n sour chicken along with some kuew tow.when we got our food we were like ok this looks good and tempting but after a bite it was totally devastating as the taste is not up to the par.first of all you don't call your dish kuew tow ( if you aren't using kuew tow) the noodles is completely wrong u are using thin a little broad noodles...we r from Malaysia we know what is kuew tow as it's Malaysia Chinese hawker delicacy and it was bloody filledwih beans sprout...disaster! The next was the sweet n sour chicken it was far more sweeter than the normal way! It isn't a desert we almost puke coz of the amount of sweetner use on this dish...but the chilie chicken Was good no complaints but still feel they do need a more seasoning by adding some dried chilie and broadly chopped onions and some plum sauce for a better taste( I am not cook but helll yea I know the seasoning as this how Chinese cooks )..but we do enjoy one thing having some wine n beer while having our food..this brought us back memory to our country and yea for this reason we had a great time !but as for chinese food goes across globally this is below average as in the sense of seasoning n taste but for Bangladesh standard this place is good and far more better and yea one noticeable thing they did serve jasmine rice compare to other places like the atrium and others who claims that they serve Chinese food which is manipulated to Bengali version n serving no fragrant rice or even jasmine ..lol

Chinese food in the Indian subcontinent comes in two varieties- 'Indian' Chinese food which adapts the cuisine for local tastebuds by generously incorporating local condiments, and 'authentic' Chinese food which is usually a combination of dishes from several Chinese provinces and retains most of the authentic qualities. If you are looking for the former you have just about every other 'Chinese' restaurant in Dhaka to choose from, but if you want something close to the real deal, head over to Bamboo Shoot. The restaurant has been around for many years and it's easy to see why. Every time I have been there, even on weeknights, the place is abuzz with diners. If you're a connoiseur of oriental delicacies it may not exactly live up to your mark, but given what's on offer in Dhaka, this is probably your best bet. I'm given to understand the chef and owner are both from China, which is not the case at most of the other restaurants which are run by Bangladeshis and Indians. Try the Chinese cabbage, seafood and chicken dishes but stay away from the pan fried chicken with mixed veggies unless you have a death wish...the dish has every kind of chili pepper that ever grew on Bangladeshi soil! The waiters were very helpful and politely advised me against ordering the dish warning of the heat factor but I went ahead anyway, so do listen to yours for recommendations. Three of us had four items and drinks for under 3000.
