It is located in Segun Baghicha , Dhaka. Memories of liberation war gathered there. This museum is the pride of Bengali nation.

“Very interesting to visit. They are building a new facility, as the existing on is in an old colonial residence withoiut”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 24, 2014

I liked all the history accumulated in that building, as well as the film that they showed to us later on. As in other museuma that I visited in Dhaka, the lack of proper funding for conservation and display of artifacts is quite evident.

“touching and memorable”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 9, 2014

It is not a government funded project, rather a team of people gathered all the documents and items for the museum, in that sense it is a very well organized place, considering that it solely depends on public donation. I cried when I went there the first time, must see place.

“The 1971 Bangladesh war of independence”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 21, 2014

Well worth a visit if you are interested in Bangladesh's recent history. It could have been housed better because at the moment all the memorabilia is in a dilapidated house that has been converted into a museum. The walk thru gives you an idea of how Bangladesh was born. The suffering, the genocides and the bravery of its heroes are all on display
