After checking out of another hotel in Baku at the end of a tour group which went home we came to stay in Sultan Inn for our additional three days.
Big issue was the road blocks due to the F1 during those days which meant we dragged our luggage for almost 15 minutes to get here.....
Check-in was smooth with the very pleasant and friendly Shafaq. Who kindly gave us rooms on the first floor. The room we got was bigger, beautifully done up and had all the amenities needed. Kettle being very welcome for having tea / coffee at odd times.
Bathroom was a bit tight but functional with crisp white bathrobes ( which we never used). Towels were very basic and one had a huge tear and was ripped at a corner..... housekeeping slacking.
Breakfast area was on the rooftop and getting up 3 flights of stairs is no mean feat.....the lack of an elevator was hugely felt and in our opinion the only drawback in this fine establishment.
No buffet breakfast, one has to order a la carte, which takes time, one has to specify "toasted brown bread" as usually only untoasted slices show up in a basket. They make good omelettes. The views from the open terrace are spectacular.....good spot for clicking the Flame Towers etc.More
