“Museum - not a shop”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 30, 2014

Although it was looking Lima a bookshop, nothing is for sale (they do offer 3 books for sale that are not-so-miniature miniature books. The collection, though, is amazing. Some of the books are 150+ years old, first copies. Others are 2mm big (you heard me right) and have about 35 pages. Books are not too structured so just go through everything and even though the personnel does not speak English they have memorized a speech in English for the tourists and giver quite a detailed picture (just listen, don't interrupts as they cannot understand the questions).
No entrance fee, you can buy a brochure for equivalent of 1eur

“Miniature museum for miniature books”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 15, 2014

You don't need a palace to display even a very large collection of miniature books. The guide is charming. The idea is quirky but really, what is the point of books that can't be read?

A place to wonder for a while at the point of collecting, and who are the people creating these things for the collectors. I suppose a museum of giant books would be just as crazy and I am sure we will have one here soon. In a museum built in the shape of a giant book. Come on architects, give it a thought. It could be next to the carpet museum in the shape of a rolled up carpet... When will that be open?

“quirky place for book-lovers”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 30, 2014

Interesting collection of miniature books hosted by a woman who obviously loves what she does. No jewel-encrusted museum items here, just lots and lots of tiny books from all over the world. Fair warning --- if you don't speak Russian, you probably won't get the maximum benefit from this place.
