Sahil is a stylish restaurant situated in a modern building, right on the Boulevard facing the Caspian Sea. The building has an Italian restaurant on the ground floor and a trendy bar on the top floor. Upon entering Sahil you know you are in for a quality experience. I sat outside on the balcony overlooking the sea. Service was prompt with reasonable English and the waiter explained the Azeri menu quite well. I selected babaganoush as a started, it came warm with flat breads and was utterly delicious. To follow a meltingly tender lamb shank in a delicately flavoured gravy, served with pilaff rice, again excellent. These two items cost a very reasonable £15. I also had a well made cocktail, freshly squeezed orange juice and a beer, once more competitively priced.
Would be more than happy to go again.
