This free standing telecommunications tower is a landmark of Baku. It is the tallest reinforced concrete building in Caucasus and the tallest structure of the city. Located in the Sabail district this structure is 310 meters high. The construction work of this tower was started by the USSR government in 1979. It was completed 17 years later in 1996 during the times of Heyder Aliyev. There is a revolving restaurant on the 62nd floor of this tower. A visit to this tower guarantees magnificent panoramic view of the beautiful city.
