TMS (The Meat Shop) burgers and sandwiches are a great alternative to the kebabs, shawarma, and varieties of khachapouri that comprise typical Armenian fast food. Don't get me wrong -- I love those things, too -- but it's great to have something different once in a while. And in this case, TMS burgers really hit the spot. My husband enjoys their double cheeseburger, and my son and I always go for the veggie burger. The fries are really good, too.
You can eat in for the freshness, but the seating is extremely limited, and certain aspects of their decor are rather offensive to vegetarians, (particularly a couple of derogatory framed prints) even though they offer veggie burgers. To avoid this, or just for convenience, you can also have food delivered to you (though we always end up reheating the fries in the oven so they aren't soggy after a car ride in a plastic bag). Either way, we've found the service to be quite good, and the meal always satisfying. The buns are fluffy, never squished and greasy like McDonald's burgers, and when you add a slice of Armenian tomato...it's delightful!
The prices are a bit steep for fast food, but since it's rare to find such high quality burgers and fries in Yerevan, it's probably worth it, especially if you have a craving for American fast food.
A few small changes would prompt me to increase my rating:
1) offer onion rings as well as fries
2) offer veggie burgers in "mini" size like the mini cheeseburger
3) get rid of those disparaging, disrespectful framed pictures in the shop
