Malkhas jazz club is a bit of an icon for Yerevan residents and tourists. I have been there several times and each time is a different experience. If you stay there until midnight you might see the maestro Malkhas himself performing and that of course is a fantastic experience as he is a true legend and an amazing talent. The 'support' acts before midnight can be a bit of a hit and miss - I have seen some great musicians there, fantastic jam sessions, but also mediocre and amateurish performers as well.

Just as many people already stated you need to be aware that:

- your bill will include the entrance 'ticket' - the cover charge for music
- everybody smokes inside, which is terrible
- the drinks are overpriced ($100 wine)
- the food is overpriced and bad - has nothing to do with great Armenian food - make sure you eat and drink BEFORE going to Malkhas to spend the rest of your night
- you might end up being seated somewhere where you cannot see the stage/the musicians at all - but keep asking - they might move you closer to the stage.

One of the best places in Yerevan for jazz fans or just good music and relaxing atmosphere.
Visited 3 days ago with my sister. Still want to find a spot in my busy schedule to do it again before I leave my city...
Very friendly stuff, perfect atmosphere, cocktails and wine :)
But first of all ... THE MUSIC! Unfortunately don’t remember the jazz band name! They were Sooooooo GOOOOOD!!!!!
It’s open 9pm - 2am everyday. Live music starts from 9:30 - 9:45pm. But you need to reserve a table days before to get a good spot or even to get any :))))
The only minus was the smoke. It’s not smoking free and especially the balconies were full of smoke (couldn’t reserve a table on the main level, called them too late :) )

So.. Try it, and it’ll become your favorite place in Yerevan!

Some very good musicians on stage when we visited, clearly capable of much more than the unexciting, but very competently performed, repertoire on offer. As others have said, menu and wine list more expensive than most Yerevan restaurants. Would recommend paying entry fee and a drink to sample the venue - best known jazz club in Yerevan - but maybe go somewhere else for food and excitement! Worth booking to get a table with decent view of stage.

The location is excellent and same goes for the taste of the music they do at the jazz club. The tables are all nicely set and the quality of the show is top notch

Just awfull! Everything!
Drinks are overpriced, cocktails are unbanced!
The entire place looks dirty, it is very hot and stuffy inside and everybody smoke sigarettes.
Nobody said about paid entrance when we were booking table, they are just included it in the bill.
Won't recomend this place for anybody ever.
Jazz band was ok, but just ok.
