It's just the "Metropol Hotel" now. Although it's not an old hotel, it has the feel of one - there's not too much to criticise, but it fails to excite. The rooms are of a good size and comfortable, the staff are friendly and helpful, the breakfast is OK, but the dining room is not large and can struggle to cope. All in all, I wouldn't mind staying here again but I feel that there must be better choices in Yerevan.

Room tip: It's a hotel of two parts: try for a room in the front part of the hotel - or look forward to a long walk through the corridors.

Unfortunately this hotel is in need of a good refurbishment. The entrance is dark and un-welcoming and our bedroom, nevertheless rather large, was a disaster: upholstered furniture really tired and dirty. The bathroom too in need of an updating. Breakfast was rather disappointing too. I shall not come back!

We stayed here for two weeks while visiting relatives Our kids loved the pool which had a bar next to it and was quite big for a hotel pool. Nice comfy lounge with a big bar. Restaurant was also tasty. Room was large and comfortable, beds were soft to sleep in. It was quiet and everything was clean.

It is very comfortable to the airport, as it is the straight road there (no traffic jams). And it's 10-15 minutes walking to the heart of the city. Staff is friendly and helpful - it's better to order taxi from there with fix prices. Be careful with taxi drivers on the street.
The interior is beautiful with big paintings on the walls - you feel yourself in the museum.
The breakfast was good with some national specialities - matzoni and fruit jams.
The rooms are clean and big, and it's quite in the nighttime. We had a good rest there!

Room tip: Rooms with windows on the street side got better view, but the street is noisy a little bit. Rooms on the inner side are quite.

Tourism in Yerevan is embryonic however this hotel had big rooms, motivated concierage and a great break fast buffet. Walking distance to downtown city square cosmopolitan attractions just a short walk away.
