I'm just back from a recent visit to Armenia where 14 Floor moved me on my first night to the near by 4 star Paris Hotel. Whilst the view from the balcony at the Paris hotel is also great and their breakfast simply amazing, 14 Floor make up for it in lots of other ways. My room was great, with breath taking views over the town to Mt Ararat. Equally lovely views from the roof terrace. The rooms are decorated nicely and are clean. Beds comfy. For me what made it great though were the staff. The reception staff were great and persistent at sorting me my onwards journey to Tbilisi. And a most special shout out goes to Laura who, not speaking a word of English still made me Turkish coffee and fed me local dried fruit at 6am one morning when I went up to the roof to see the sunrise. Very kind and a lovely way to start the day!

This is a nicely appointed single floor hotel in central Yerevan. The staff were excellent. The breakfast was Armenian, with mostly dried fruit, cold cuts and bread. It is walking distance to all major Yerevan attractions - one block from Republic Square.

Stayed five nights at this hotel. Bed was very comfortable and room was clean as was the bathroom. Great Location right in the centre close to many good restaurants and bars. Breakfast was simple but adequate. Staff spoke English and were helpful and friendly. Only problem was a sewage smell from the bathroom which was present most of the time. However i would stay here again for the location as i did not spend much time in the room.

Room Tip: Check room before accepting due to smell

The staff is very responsive, positive, smiling and very accommodating. The rooms are quite spacious, newly refurbished or built. My room had a fantastic view to mountian Ararat. The breakfast area is on the terrace on 15th floor, again with an amazing view. The price is moderate and well positioned. Thank you very much for the nice service!

Room Tip: tasty freshly baked cakes and coookies.

The staff of the hotel was kind, smiling. The room was clean, the view from the terrace great. Pity that the basic hotel stuff went wrong. The noise in our room was unbearable, firstly from a tiny fridge which was squeezed into a wooden cabinet and hence struggled to get the heat away; secondly from an aircon compressor outside which vibrated a nasty low frequency sound throughout a sleepless night. To us it looked like there was only one elevator and no fire rescue staircase! There was no instructions showing fire rescue routes. The shower holder was not fastened and fell down; we asked for a repair and never got it, just as our bed was never done, no cleaning done

Room Tip: Get a room away from the aircon compressor on the 14th floor, ask about fire escapes
