“Good food and quick service”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 1, 2012

This is a no frills restaurant. We keep coming back here as the food is good, service is fast and the prices are very reasonable.

“Oasis for Vegetarians”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 8, 2012

Armenians like meat. Lots of it. When they don't have meat they're having eggs and cheese. So if you're vegan, or only occasionally lacto-ovo vegetarian, Lagonid is a lifesaver in Yerevan. It's a small, simple place, with a few outdoor tables in summer, perched near the top of Nalbandyan Street. (Alert on street numbers: on Nalbandyan the odd numbers run very slowly up the hill, so no. 37 (Lagonid) is across the street from the mid-100s.) It's run by a Syrain family who know how to do up traditional mediterranean cuisine: hoummous, falafel (Tuesdays and Fridays), tabbouleh, labneh, dolmades, baba-ghanouj. And yes, they have lots of meat dishes for carnivores, too. Best of all it's inexpensive, even by Yerevan standards. Order a couple of sides and some Arab bread and you're away for about 1600AMD (that's less than $4 CAD). It's also licensed, although be careful; the prices have altered slightly since the menus were last printed.

“great Lebanese cuisine”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 19, 2011

Anything you take in Lagonid is just great - from salads and sandwiches to the main courses. They serve the best hammos and falafel in Yerevan. Thanks to them I became a fan of Lebanese cuisine! Highly recommended to all those who love and who doesn't love Lebanese food (yet ;))
