First of all i traveled alone there during an unexpected typhoon in the South of Vietnam and im still in this hotel writting this review. I booked superior thru Agoda with discount rate and they gave me the room that i believed not a superior, quite big, have a couch with a bathtub with jacuzzi mode(room 318, club suite perhaps) !!! Everyday at 6pm the staff come and check whether i need sth. Today after having dinner, i found that they left a tray of desert for me (how cool).
Due to heavy rain, i got opportunity to try 2 of there restaurants. The Imperial dinning room is quite lack of guest, had lunch there, the food is not the best but acceptable. However, the best one would be Hanabusa restaurant, fresh sashimi and tasty sushi. The sushi chef name Tri (i didnt know, just remember someone call him) is friendly (he offer me a free piece of sushi) and i was enjoy to chat with him.
Now the cons: as most comment i've read, yes, the carpet is getting old and dirty. I also think the bed is not soft but i did sleep very well. But the biggest disapointment is the gym. Due to the rain the only activity i want is go to the gym but i realized that it's out of date, small and not well equiped. I was supprised that there was no staff there to check the customers.
I think the it's a decent 5 stars hotel with valuable prices and i believe they can fix the cons so next time when i back there i will completely feel satisfied.

Room Tip: Very close to Lac Canh, a must eat local BBQ station.

I love everything about this hotel especially when I told them I am on my honeymoon, the upgraded us to a larger suite with huge balcony and roses decorating our room, jacuzzi and bed.... very generous of them. the bathroom is also hugeee!!

the breakfast was also excellent... the pastries were wonderful, everything else superb... even internet connection was very fast... the view outside our room was also beautiful, the beach is just across the road, shopping mall just less than 5 mins walk (theres a supermarket there, if you wish to buy necessities, very cheap too)

the staffs are very friendly, they gave us complimentary drinks while waiting for our room, and when we ask them tor recommend us good seafood restaurant the told us to go to nha trang seafood restaurant... really delicious and reasonably priced

too bad we didnt get to visit vinpearl island.. cos we only stay there for 2 days :(

Room Tip: tell them in advance if you are on your honeymoon...

Good location, and big rooms. Rooms were abit on the old side and needs a facelift. Service was so-so. Breakfast was good though, and the pool was excellent.

Had manicure and pedicure, which was good and very cheap compared to UK.

Stayed here for 4 nights in Feb 2012. This was our final stop in Vietnam and wanted a bit of pampering and this was definitely great for that. I note a lot of people saying that the hotel is 5 star, not sure I can agree with this, but don’t get me wrong this is still a great hotel for a luxury type establishment. If you are flying in to Nha Trang I would strongly recommend that you organise transfers to and from the hotel as the airport is some 35-40kms away (40min trip) one way. The hotel can arrange this for you. All flights fly into Cam Ranh Int’l airport not the old Nha Trang airport which is no longer used.

When we arrived we were greeted by the hotel staff and offered a refresher towel and cold drink. Even though we arrived early our room was available (luck of the draw). We stayed in a deluxe room which was very spacious and had great sea views. All the rooms at the hotel have sea views, the hotel faces the ocean and does not have any rooms facing out the back. The room, bathroom and balcony were all very clean and the furniture was of a high standard. The room also had a sofa which was great if you just wanted to sit and read. All in all very high quality furniture. The bed was great, after having spent the last 10 days sleeping on latex mattresses in the previous hotels we stayed in. I note that some other reviewers questioned the cleanliness of the carpets, we were on the 7th Floor and our carpets were very clean.

Breakfast is served in the front of the hotel (included in the room price) and the quality and variety was excellent. As per normal practice in quality hotels you can have your eggs cooked any shape or form; however one of the biggest pluses was that you could also get Pho for breakfast…yummy. I tried the coffee here, as I have done all over Vietnam, and I’m still not sure about it, I’m just guessing it’s not for me.

You have to cross the road to get to the beach; however there is hotel staff to direct the traffic to allow you to cross safely and quickly. The beach looked clean, both water and sand (didn’t go for a swim, we are more of a pool people). The beach facilities for hotel guests were great with beach umbrellas and sun lounges.

My wife used the hotel Spa centre on 3 of the 4 days we were there and couldn’t stop raving about it. She said they had a multitude of treatments and ALL were very very cheap, compared to Australia. She said the staff were great and the facilities were very hygienic and well presented allowing for as relaxing and enjoyable treatment.

All in all hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, however their ability to understand and speak English was hit and miss. Not that this should put you off, but just be aware and be patient, after all you are on holidays…I hope.

There is a large day market behind the hotel called Dam Market, it’s about a 10-15min stroll. This market has everything you want from food (cooked and un-cooked) to watches, toys, clothes, souvenirs etc. etc. There is also a department store about a 3min walk south from the hotel, prices in here were about the same as home for clothes while food in its supermarket were relatively cheap.

We didn’t eat in the hotel (apart from breakfast) this is the norm for us as we like to try the local food in local restaurants. The hotels are too westernized for us. We journey south of the hotel along the beach promenade to where all the restaurants are. We took a taxi from the hotel and it cost no more than 25,000 dong (about $1AUD) one way. Stick to using the MaiLinh (green and white) taxis as they always use their meters. You could walk it, it’s about 2kms. Most restaurants are in the streets of Biet Thu (this is the first street on the left past the Novotel Hotel, if you are coming south along the beach promenade from the Sunrise hotel), Nguyen Thien Thuat and Tran Quang Khai. There are many here and our favorite was Lanterns for Vietnamese food. I strongly recommend that you either get to Lanterns early (before 6:15pm) or make a booking; otherwise you will have to wait. The night market is also a short stroll north along Hung Vuong street from this restaurant area.

We came to Nha Trang to relax and that is exactly what we did at this hotel and we would definitely stay again if we returned.

Room Tip: The higher floor rooms have a better view of the ocean and surroundings

We stayed here for 13 nights after touring. We weren't disappointed either. Although we had to wait 4 hours for our room because we arrived very early, it was well worth the wait! We were upgraded to a Deluxe room which was huge with 2 very large beds. We even had 2 balconies, oneover looking the ocean and one over the city - amazing!

The staff were very friendly and very accommodating to our every need, whatever time of the day or night! Room Service was excellent with all the bathroom toiletries and tea facilities being replenished daily including the water. The fruit basket was changed every few days too. If you like to lay on the beach across the road, you need to get there early (8am) as they only have a limited amount of beds on the beach. The pool is fantastic but it's just so hot with very little shade even under the umbrella. As we had an early departure they arranged a packed breakfast. It was the biggest and the best ever. It even included a toothpick! All in all a fabulous hotel with everything you'll ever need for a relaxing holiday.

Room Tip: We were on the 6th floor with amazing views.
