I got my Open Water Diver certificate at this shop. It was a good deal (only VND 3M, which was slightly over $150 in 2010, including accommodation). The teaching was not rigorous; after the course, I'd hardly be able to dive by myself including setting up equipment & buoyancy, etc, but if I'd been to continue diving in Vietnam only then that would have been good enough as dive services in Vietnam were very good: boat staff would set up equipment and dive groups were not so big and dive masters would take care of divers well. Dive sites in Vietnam were not demanding either.
I dove with them another time. The guide was fantastic, He knew the critters & was very playful underwater. I had a truly fun dive despite the sites were just mediocre.
Among all dive operators, in Vietnam or overseas, these guys offered the best lunch. Vietnamese food, freshly cooked on boat. I however saw some foreign divers couldn't enjoy the food because they didn't like Vietnamese food.
Their rates were competitive.
All staff's local.
Don't expect them to be very professional. Sometimes I could enjoy locals' generosity, sometimes I suffered from their lack of understanding of what it was to be professional. But this was not a problem unique to them but to all other local staff at dive operators in Nha Trang.
My OWD course was in 2010
The second time I dove with them was 2011.
Quite a long time ago so it might not be relevant. But I still very much wanted to write something for them.
