The site itself is great, the two giant statutes were magnificent, view fro the top was brilliant and the temple located at the bottom was very tranquil. But the experience is tainted by some of the people there who exploit the religious site to make a quick buck. First there was a guy who was easily in his mid-30s claimed to be a student and said that even though there aren't any tickets to go up the stairs to the giant statues, you must buy postcards from him before you enter as a form of "donation". We just brushed him off and went up. Then at the spot with the statue of Buddha lying down, we came across an old man who was extremely polite and friendly. Before we moved on he pointed at the donation box and asked if it was possible to give something. I just grabbed a 20,000 note and gave it to him to put it in, but he said I need to put at least 200,000. When we said no and began to leave, its fair to say he was not as polite as he was before and to be honest I don't think that 20,000 note saw the inside of that donation box. So beware of him! Finally, at the top you get a bunch of ladies selling fans that you don't need and saying no once didn't seem to be enough. End of the day, you should try to visit the place when in Nha Trang but asa harsh at it may sound, just ignore the locals while there :P

Beautiful pagoda and 18 meter reclining Buddha plus another large Buddha on top of the hill. Worth the visit but get there early to avoid the crowds and also to see the monks chanting. Amazing.

A not too hard a climb to the top is well worth it to see the sitting Buddha and great view back over Nha Trang. You will get hassled by peddlers but a simple no sends them away and just enjoy taking your time to the top

The view from the top of the hill, by the big Budda. is worth the climb. (a hop skip and a jump) Soak up the history and the culture here. It is only a short walk to anywhere in town from here after your visit. But plenty of taxis and motos too. No entry fee!
