“Hard to walk too but amazing when found.”

Really cool place and its free. We walked there from the sailing club. Took about an hour and we thought we were lost but we found it and it was worth it.

“Uniquely Asia”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 27, 2012

Uniquely Asia, this attraction can be an interesting visit. Due to a number of steps to reach the Pagoda, not suitable for elderly people. This attraction is not buggy friendly.

Strategically located within the city centre, this can be easily accessed by taxi or via hotel tour desk included in the half-day private city tour.

“Big white Buddah”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 23, 2012

An interesting view from the top of the district relatively Moden built in the 1800s begging children
Pester you for money the drive takes you through the very poor outer suburbs of the city.
Worth a visit but not a long one.

“Wonderful sights”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 18, 2012

This is a very interesting place, decorated with mosaic dragons covered with glass and ceramic tiles. You can climb a few stairs and see a huge reclining buddha, then climb a few more and there is a giant seated buddha at the top. Monks still live in the complex. Beware of young people ripping you off with poor-quality postcards at extortionate prices and stories of being poor orphans. They'll say they only want to show you around, then will hit you with the sales pitch for the orphans.

“A Delightful Morning Visit”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 17, 2012

Besides the gorgeous beach, Long Son Pagoda is the one Nha Trang attraction that definitely rates a visit from almost everyone. Beautiful, exotic traditional Vietnamese temple design, and the majestic white Buddha at the top of the hill is striking and photogenic.

Try a morning visit when there's more shade and (perhaps) fewer visitors. You may encounter touts pushing goods and services you don't need, but they won't pester you unless you encourage them. Bring your camera! Highly recommended. Less mobile visitors should keep in mind there are many steps to climb if you want an up-close look at the Buddha.
