My cousin and I signed up for a yoga and wellness retreat for Viet Nam. I did so without hesitation and upon mentioning this to my cousin, she immediately signed up.
Having never been to Viet Nam, much less Cam Rhan Bay, Turtle Bay, Nha Trang, this was really going to be an adventure.
Upon arrival at the resort we were greeted with dragon fruit drinks with straws in the actual skin of the dragon fruit. Delicious and very impressive to this woman from Alaska.
The view of the bay was taken in while looking over the infinity pool in front of the resort. Turns out there were two infinity pools; one salt water and one without. There was also a small area created for an actual beach experience.
Yoga occupied most of our time in-between eating ( incredible buffets and selected menu meals), and enjoying the out door possibilities.
We took two snorkeling trips. Incredible. My first time.
The thing I want to mention is the wonderful, beyond the expected care I received. Being a bit disabled I was unable to walk to my bungalow. A simple call to the front desk and a wonderfully friendly person would be there at the door within a couple minutes. The same was true with the return to the room.
While mentioning the service, I must mention some of the things that stood out.
The resort lobby had many services that we used: finding bandages, confirming a cancellation of a reservation in a hotel in Ho Chi Minh City and airport pick up for the new hotel and arranging the reservation in the new hotel. The night time bar was great for ordering not much needed but desired ice cream or other desserts. The manager, I believe Tran Thi Thuy, was beyond reproach.
Then we get to the rooms. Comfortable, beautiful and the bathroom. One for the charts. I would love to have one in my house in Alaska???? Out door shower and tub. Gorgeous plants. Beds very comfortable after a day of activities.

Amiana is recommended without reservation for any visiting Viet Nam.

We absolutely loved this hotel. We originally booked to stay here 2 nights but we were so happy with the place we decided to cancel our next hotel and stay an extra 3 nights.

Amiana is locate out of the centre of Nah Trang which gives it a really relaxing feel and allows you to escape the hectic city life. To get into town you have 3 options: a shuttle bus (provided by the hotel), taxi (cost you about $7.50 - $10.00 AUD) or motor bike (about 150,000 VDN/day if you hire in town).

The hotel is beautiful and very well kept. The gardens are really well looked after. There are 2 pools (fresh and salt water) which are kept at a perfect temperature so you can swim all day. There a 2 bars but we spent most of our time at the pool bar which has a magnificent view and relaxing atmosphere. There is also a number of different facilities and services available (eg. Gym, mini golf, tennis court, spa, water sports, restaurant etc).

The staff were extremely kind, friendly and helpful (I would like to mention names but I won't due to confidentiality). Many of the staff went above and beyond to assist us and make our stay even better then we imagined.

The rooms are really nice and very spacious. It feels like you have your own villa as each room has it's own entrance/front garden. The bathroom is awesome and there is an outdoor shower/bath which makes the rooms extra special. I really loved the fact that the rooms had the cupboard and luggage area located within the bathroom (this design makes the bedroom feel more spacious). We loved the turndown service and thought the little muffins were a cute touch. And we loved the Vietnamese hats and beach bags available in every room.

The buffet breakfast is probably one of the best I have had at any hotel. There is a huge variety and they really cater to everyone's needs. We also ate at the restaurant and the food was great (lamb shank, steaks and desserts were all pretty impressive). We were also fortunate enough to have a 3 course candle lit dinner on a private beach which was one of the highlights of our holiday.

I would highly recommend this hotel to any of my family members or friends and I will hopefully have the opportunity to come again. I would like to thank everyone at Amiana for making our stay so special. It was a great way to end our amazing holiday to Vietnam. This hotel deserves 5 stars. From C&G.

First impressions are good, the foyer looks out to the bay and islands beyond. The water feature adds to the beautiful views. Check in was efficient and we were then walked to our villa. The resort is set out with single level villas amongst lovely gardens. Our beach view villa looked out to the bay and whilst this resort doesn't have a beach - other than a small cove, we thought it was great. There are 2 pools, one a salt water pool which was huge, that looked out to the bay. The other pool is fresh water and is a large infinity pool. Around the saltwater pool was a man made beach with loungers, and it was just so relaxing being there. The restaurant had an enormous breakfast selection, so no chance of getting bored. We dined in the evenings there a couple of times, and the food was good. The beach bar was in my opinion under used. It would have been great to have had a 'happy hour' there, but that was only held in the lobby bar, which lacked atmosphere. No sure if that was normal or just because the hotel had very few guests when we stayed there. The spa was not finished but they were using a couple of villas to have treatments in. Even though the menu was limited, the massages we had were some of the best we've had. Our villa was very nice, you couldn't fault it. The bed was very comfortable, and linen top quality. The outdoor bathroom was nice, and the products provided were 'spa like' too. Housekeeping was efficient and very thorough. We liked that the hotel was out of the town, as it was very relaxing and quiet. All the staff we met were just so helpful, some had even remembered our names! For us the positives were the beautiful location, the pools, the quality of the rooms and facilities, and the staff. Some things I would suggest for improvements are, promote happy hour better and include the beach bar, perhaps provide a weather update with turndown service and maybe promote something within the hotel for the next day eg a spa service or snorkelling, cooking class etc. We had a great stay at this hotel.

With the current absence of the wheel chaired ex GM, the resort seems to go ahead in leaps and bounds with the excellent and professional new manager. There is now no fat man smoking at breakfast and the atmosphere is now environmentally friendly. The service level has gone up several notches from what it was and is now 100% professional and five star.

The new manager guy has even introduced soft background music to the restaurant. Derrrr, why wasn't it there in the beginning? The restaurant is now very relaxing and as always the view to Turtle Island and Nha Trang Bay, is the best in Nha Trang.Staff are now super friendly and full of smiles. Happy smiling faces. One hangover and insanity from previous management is the breakfast cost if you invite a guest. The Amiana cost is an insane $28. To put it into perspective, Intercontinental charges $15 and they have outstanding food that makes the Sheraton taste like tripe. The service and ambience of Intercontinental makes Sheraton look like a backpackers. Obviously the Amiana breakfast cost is off with the fairies and no doubt the new guy will introduce a competitive cost that will relate to the real world. It categorically doesn't make sense.

The water sports is now professionally managed and improved with Mr Kiet taking over from the previous attempt. It's now more hands on. Kiet's English is great.

The newly finished tennis court is great to play on and extremely comfortable. The new golf area designed by the local Gary guy looks absolutely sensational and no doubt will be enjoyed by hundreds of guests when it's operational. Mr Kiet operates the sports area brilliantly. The new gym is also excellent with great equipment and amazing views.

The resort now, finally looks and feels like a five star resort.
With the new spa opening soon, Amiana will be one of the best resorts in Vietnam.

Dear writer,
Thank you for your review and various comments about our services and facilities.
Amiana is now indeed under a new management, new energy and importantly a new level of service deliveries. With the completion of our brand new spa building and to be operational shortly, we are all thrilled to make Amiana a complete destination in itself.
As you mentioned, we will introduce a more competitive cost and value for all of our guests enjoying their holidays. And this applies for the breakfast too.
Special thanks to your special mention of our Recreation Manager - Mr Kiet, sure his team will jump in joy. All of us here at Amiana are happy to have you stayed with us again on your second visit. We do hope to see you again for the third visit and more to come!
Thanks again.

We stayed 5 days in this new Hotel when it was fully occupied during Vietnamese New Years Week, in February 2013. Considering this and the fact that our stay was still during the soft opening phase of the Hotel I must say that we were truly impressed by the friendliness and the competence of all staff members. From check in to check out, in which several we had several special requests, we felt cared for and our queries were always responded beyond our expectations.

During our stay we had minor problems with the lighting in our room, which the technicians eagerly tried to solve. As soon as another Room was available, we were invited to change and to our surprise we were offered an upgrade to the beach front in addition to other treats which we found more than compensatory. This was made possible by the Guest Service Manager named PHAM NGAN HUY. He is a true professional and pleasant person and puts real effort into any inquiry. His competence made our stay even more pleasant. Another very friendly employee I would like to point out is HAI, who is also very competent, friendly and was able to speak very good German.

The Hotel itself is a 15 min ride from the City which makes it perfect for relaxation but also provides to opportunity for other things to do. Renting a scooter is convenient although taxis are always available. The Hotel itself is beautifully designed, very clean and perfect in size. Rooms are very comfortable and the bathrooms with the outdoor showers are very impressive.

Food is very good and enough variety is provided every day. A little bit expensive but normal for this standard

I do see room for improvement for the entrance to the sea. If it is possible I would extend the beach to be more like 'the Bay' which is absolute paradise.

We will definitely come again.

Greetings,

Timur

Also thank you to specifically mention our member associates who have made your stay more enjoyable and memorable. Our resort is generous in size, and that's including each and every one of our rooms, giving you extra comfort. Our little bay is a slice of heaven on earth. We will look into the possibility of enlarging this slice :)

We stayed here for five days and it was incredibly peaceful and tranquil. Room had two separate suites and a full kitchen was great for our family. Staff and services were exceptional. Breakfast buffet had a wide variety and food tasted delicious for the most part, just a handful of offerings were just average. Although the rooms are great for families, there weren't any kids activities available. It was expensive to go on the jet skis so not many guests went out when we stayed at the resort. Only part that was bad was that my IPod was stolen from our room and they said they're not responsible because it wasn't in their hotel safe. They should have room safes if that is their policy since I listen to music a lot and would have locked it up if they had a room safe.

We stayed at the Superior room and loved the inter-connection they offer between the two adjoining bedrooms. Nice concept for a family suite. We had our two sons sleeping in the other room, while I stayed with my wife in the other. The rooms were very spacious, had all facilities such as mini-refrigerator, satellite television, small balconies and even free Wi-Fi. The free Wi-Fi is what I loved the best. For obvious reasons. You don’t get too many stuffs free in this world and getting a free laptop is just over the tops. The staffs at the Hotel had been very polite, like most locals around the place. Very sober and helpful. The food was good and well-thought of, balancing all cuisines to the best.
