I have done numerous cooking classes in Asia and although this was fun with some new friends, it was very basic. I think it would be great for kids and absolute beginners. The instructor, Nam, was excellent. The market visit always seems to precede the cooking and this was one of the better market visits. We selected and bought all the ingredients for our meal instead of just looking at fruit, veg and meat. I did change from chicken to tofu clay pot after wandering through the meat section! We returned by cyclo to the restaurant and much of the messy preparation was done for us. We made our clay pot dish, constructed and decorated our fresh spring rolls and flambéed our chosen fruit and ate it. The class was from 9-2pm but we were well finished by 12.30. This was not a problem but maybe if there were more people it would take longer.
