My friend and me arrived early in the morning, and the overfriendly woman that met us outside the bus (I guess she's the owner) with the cold eyes, let us use the toilet. Not making the best judgement call, due to fatigue and hunger, we decided to stay at My Hoa Hotel...
We were told by the woman that the hotel was in the central of Nha Trang, weeell, it's all relative, isn't it? ;)
Not expecting a high standard at these kinds of hotels, I will only comment that there were burnmarks and other stains at the sheets/blankets, and a loose toilet-seat (it was pressing against ones back when sitting down).
The first rip-off was when I made an agreement that we would pay for half a day, to keep the room from 12-18 p.m.; 30 minutes after the agreement was made (between her, her son and me), she walked straight into our room after 1 (ONE) light knock on the door, telling me that we had to pay for half a day more. I referred to our agreement 30 mins earlier, but she seemed to have forgotten completely.
My friend and I didn't want any trouble, so we agreed to pay for half a day more.
The second rip-off was when we ordered and payed for a night bus; we specificly ordered the most expensive night-bus, and payed thereafter, but upon arrival at the bus terminal, it was obvious that we'd gotten the cheapest of the cheapest.
It was the most horrific busrides of my life, now we can look back at it and laugh, but almost 13 hours in that tin-trap was not what we had payed for!!
At least we finally understood the womans (owners) reluctance against giving us our receipt; we had been asking for it on several occations, but got it just before leaving the "hotel".
She'd kept the difference between what we payed and the actual cost for the bus.
