Stayed at this hotel a couple of times and enjoyed my stay very much. Its in a very good location and cheap as chips, I think I paid around $15 to $18 a night for a huge bedroom that even included a bloody big bath tub and a huge balcony. Rooms are fairly clean with comfortable beds with no complaints at all. Only downside was the pretty uninterested desk clerk on my last visit but hey she might of been having a bad day or 2. If you get a chance have a meal down the lane on the corner, you will thank me later.

Room Tip: Have a meal down the lane on the corner, great food and cheap.

The structure of this hotel is very particular, narrow and very high building, nine floors. On the top floor is served buffet breakfast with plenty of choice, and you can enjoy a magnificent view of the imperial city and the river that surrounds it. On foot, the walls can be reached in about fifteen minutes, and is equidistant from the two access bridges. The hotel is well maintained and very clean, has a 24-hour reception and the hotel staff was very friendly. The room is fantastic, equipped with every comfort, television, air conditioning, mini-bar and even a computer, and this was very useful because the Wifi signal was very unstable, while the cable connection was great. Bathroom with bathtub and hairdryer also features; compared to the room, which seems newly renovated, the bathroom appears with some signs of wear, but overall acceptable. The area of Hue in which the greater part of the pub and restaurants are located is five minutes walk away and the area is very quiet and for traffic safety. We used the hotel as a base for a trip to the DMZ, organized with the help of the owner and the bus came to pick us up directly at the hotel ...

We have just left the Thai Binh 2 Hotel in Hue. While some of the more touristy aspects of the city were a bit much for us, this hotel was absolutely fantastic value for money. For around $25 per night we had an enormous double room with high ceilings, dark wood flooring, French windows opening out onto an enormous balcony with great city views (although we were on the 7th floor - you might not get this lower down), constant hot water and even a bath (a rarity at this level). Admittedly the outside of the building and the corridors are a little uninviting but the rooms more than make up for it. Helpful staff will happily give you information about the city and arrange travel for you without going for the hard sell like so many other places either. There was building work going on while we were there which provided a little noise disruption but thankfully this did not go on too long during the day. Recommended.

Arrived here exhausted and really needed a nap, but there was a building site right outside our window.

Rooms were nice enough. Problems with the wifi when we were there which meant it couldn't be accessed in the rooms and had to go and sit in a corridor on another floor to be able to get online. All part of the experience.

Breakfast was a bit odd. There was some choice, but water came from a thermos flask via the girl welcoming you in, and the food was spread out on a large table looking more like an indoor picnic at your great aunties house rather than a hotel. The views were pretty good though and there was plenty to eat.

Within walking distance of shops and restaurants and some really nice hotels close by if you want to go and view sunset from a rooftop bar. Good laundry service, quick and cheap, although one t.shirt from a group member got ruined.

Cheap and cheerful. Okay hotel. Would recommend if the price was right.

Room Tip: try and get on the opposite side of the building work!

the room was luxurious, with a high ceiling, french doors onto a balcony with a lovely view and beautifully decorated with mahogany inlaid mother of pearl furniture.
the hotel is extremely tall and therefore easy to find when walking the streets.
staff were very helpful and friendly

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights whilst we were travelling in Vietnam. The hotel is in a good location, close to the main street and withing walking distance of the things to see in Hue. The room was really big with a balcony which was nice. Breakfast had lots of choice - served on th top floor of the building with great views of the city. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The only thing I didnt like about the hotel was not having enough towels (only 1 per person) and no bath mat. When we returned to our room one night there was a cockroach on the bedside cabinet although I do not blame the hotel for this as the room was very clean.

Nice hotel in a good location. Building works are commencing next door, however do not cause too much disturbance. Works tend to finish around 5pm.

I'm in room 303. Very clean, with one queen bed and one single bed. Bathroom is adequate, with typical shower over bath. Good water pressure and plenty of hot water. Room is air-conditioned and also has a fan and a balcony. Staff are lovely and are willing to help in any way they can. Laundry service is fantastic, dropped off, and returned within 8 hours for $1USD/kg.

Free wifi is included throughout the hotel ,and there are computers in the foyer for public use should you wish. I would definitely say here again.
