A lovely walk down the river side is impossible being harrased constantly by dragon boat drivers who refuse to take no for an answer grab at you and OUTRIGHT LIE to get you on their boat. This is next level hard sell. Be ware! Definitely avoid boat 0367. If the ladies who seem friendly take you to that boat say no! be firm and let them know you saw their bad review on trip advisor!! I am used to being an obvious forigner and people trying to sell me stuff in Asia but this is ridiculous and ruins what could ve such an enjoyable area.

Scenic River cruise, saw local fisherman and a historic dock. Even some shopping on board. Lovely way to start a day.

Take a dragon boat cruise along the river. The boats are picturesque in themselves and the life along the river gives you an insight into the fisher families.

After visiting the Thien Hau Pagoda, we walked across to the bank of the Perfume River & enjoyed a half hour Dragon boat ride with an on-board simple but delicious "boat cooked" lunch. Simply idyllic!

We took one of the dragon boats over the river to the Thien Mu Pagoda. The boat trip was ok, but over land would have done as well. The people on the boat got quite pushy in trying to sell you stuff and even at the end forced you to ‘tip the driver’. We felt a bit awkward and wouldn’t recommend it, also because there was nothing special to see on the river. In our eyes, a waste of money.

We went for our sunset ride and it was a wonderful experience. We hired the private boat for 17usd for 2 people and asked to watch the sunset with the engine off (10-15mins) It was peaceful and relaxing. Highly recommend it!

For sure in Vietnam they are very good in marketing attractions, so this was one of the many places overacted, so do not get crazy if you will miss it

Caught a river 'taxi' back from the pagoda on the river to town. The river is well used and is a vital part of the towns tourism. Banks of the river are well used for markets and family gatherings.

We took a dragon boat ride to the pagoda. Very relaxing and enjoyable 45 mins cruise. The boats are owned by the Vietnamese Government and leased to the operators. Our couple had some lovely souvenirs for sale which helps to supplement their income. Great photo opportunities as you cruise along the river and then arrive at the pagoda

I really fall in love with this river. It a huge river but runs very slow. And I feel like the Perfume river can be seen everywhere in Hue ^^
