My wife and I enjoyed it a lot in the past three days here. The staff was really friendly and very polite. Thank you for this welcome. The central location made it possible to walk to the beautiful river side and Cittadel easily. We will recommend to all our friends this Hotel.

I stayed at the Hue Serene Palace for 3 nights in Feb & had a great experience! Staff were very friendly and helpful. I'm a female and was travelling on my own, the staff were so helpful that they even told me the areas best to stay away from once it was dark. Even though the hotel is situated down a very narrow alley, I had no issues around the area at night and felt safe. Breakfast is included in the room rate (as it is at most places in Vietnam) and though the buffet itself is only juice, fruit and bread, there's a whole menu of western and Vietnamese breakfast dishes that are made to order (all included in the rate). I would definitely stay at this hotel again as it's pretty central, service is great and it's small and comfortable.

What an a complete delight it was to stay at the Serene Palace! Firstly we'd been on the night train from Hoi An and arrived at the hotel at 9am. We weren't supposed to check in until 2 or 3 pm but we just hoped that we could leave our bags and maybe wander around until it was checking in time. We arrived at the hotel and the bell boys were straight out picking up our bags. We explained to the lady on the desk that we weren't due until later but could we leave our bags? They said "no problem, please come and have complimentary breakfast". We'd not slept for probably 24 hours and we were saying oh no but we are disgusting we've been on the night train and we arent booked until later. They said "please dont worry you're room isnt ready so we have upgraded you to another room and when you've had some breakfast you can go up immediately and shower" We were totally blown away, we were paying £75 for 3 nights with breakfast and here we were being effectively given a free night and breakfast. We ate a tremendous breakfast (and that was the same every morning - gorgeous and fresh - a really lovely pho bo too) and the ladies in the breakfast area were so lovely, they insisted on knowing our names and then constantly using them, which was incredibly cute because they smiled every time they got our names right! After breakfast we were taken to our room and it was a lovely room with a bath with a jacuzzi! The bath itself was a tad too small for us (my hubby is 6ft 6inch) but it was still a bit special. Really clean and, as with everywhere in Vnam free wifi! Room was comfortable but a tad noisy from bar across the road and bloody cockrell at 5am every morning :) but it didn't detract from how we felt about this place. It really was a pleasure and we were seriously sad to leave. Hue is not the greatest of places to stay for a long time, lots of backpackers hanging around waiting for something to happen, but if you're coming to Hue then you cannot do better than stay at this hotel. Thank you so very much Serene Palace for making our stay extra extra special

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights on our anniversary trip. We were surprised with a fully decorated room upon arrival, complete with a small bottle of wine and cake! The staff were all wonderfully friendly and helpful (particularly Emily and Ken), very personal service. The room was lovely and had a nice view over the city from the balcony. Location was very good, being close to lots of restaurants, bars, shops etc in the old town area, and just a short walk to the river and citadel. The hotel helped us to organise a car and driver to take us around on the first day, and also to book our train tickets, really couldn't have asked anything more of them. The breakfast had some good options, but I prefer a buffet when I'm away as I can never decide what to have and want to try a little bit of everything! Only other thing that could be improved would be a nice bar area (maybe rooftop) to sit and relax after a day of sightseeing. We were told that one was on the way! Will definitely go back if we're in the area again.

Positives:
+ INCREDIBLE customer service and staff
+ spotless and spacious rooms
+ luxurious ensuites
+ super comfy beds
+ delicious breakfasts
+ good location by lots of great restaurants

Negatives:
- NONE

I have been traveling SE Asia for 3 months now and this is by far on par as the best place i've stayed in. The other place being their Sister Hotel; Holiday Diamond Hotel. Customer service at both is out of this world! Thank you.

Room Tip: If this place is full. Try their sister hotel: Holiday Diamond Hotel/ Equally as fantastic.

We stayed 3 nites in a twin room in this comfortable small boutique hotel, Room was good size, nicely ac, clean and comfortable with a generous good breakfast included in the rate. Airport pickup and return was available at a taxi competitive fee and without the hassle. Citadel complex was an easy 10 minute walk. We took a perfume river private boat tour arranged thru the hotel which was very interesting.

Four of us had a recent stay Feb 15 2014.When we arrived we were a little worried since hotel was located on a small hidden side street although close to restaurants and shopping in old town.
Then stepping into hotel we were welcomed by the most smiling ,helpful and cordial staff we encountered in all of our IndoChina trip of 35 days.Rooms were perfect.
This is a must hotel for any stop in Hue.
One happy camper...
