Spent 2 nights here with my wife on a group tour. Excellent hotel in the classic French style just across from the river. Free WiFi internet. Excellent bedroom with French windows opening onto a street and river view. Breakfast was very good.

My partner and i were very impressed with the service and comfort. The hallways are lined with photos of life in the hotel and Hue through the years, a fascinating insight.

We booked a "Morin Suite" for the family, 2 adults & 2 children. These suites are huge with views over the river & Trang Tien bridge (which lights up at night with changing colours). The bathroom was big enough with shower over the bath & a separate shower box. There's one sink with minimal space for all your toiletries... We had minor flooding over the bathroom floor from the shower hose & the second shower didn't work. Neither problem was a big enough issue to us so we just mentioned it at the end of the stay. Small bottled water was supplied as was a lovely plate of fruit.
The room was spotless, housekeeping did a fine job. A word to the hotel though, if there are 4 people in the room (including a baby) then we need 4 bath towels. We found this a hard concept to explain all over Vietnam though.
Location is good, we got out & walked most areas of town & to lunch & dinner. Taxis & Cyclos are plentiful right outside the hotel.
We also utilised the hotel travel service, booking a driver to take us to the pagodas etc. This was quick & easy to do & the rate was very reasonable.
The pool was refreshingly cold. Unfortunately it's rather small & there's no diving or jumping so this left kids a little perplexed as to what to do.
Breakfast was OK. All the basics were there. Nothing special to be honest. The outside setting of breakfast was the best thing about it.
I didn't bother with the spa after my husbands experience.
We had a few questions for reception staff upon arrival & throughout our stay. Unfortunately if they (1 man in particular) didn't understand quite what you were asking they'd just say "yes" & then walk away quickly. If they had said "I don't understand" then we'd have been given the opportunity to ask in a different way to help the understanding. I think a little more training is needed there.
We booked the hotel van to take us to Hoi An at the end of the stay. What a beautiful drive! The driver happily stopped at all picturesque spots so we could take photos & he could have a break. I was however, pretty annoyed at being dropped at a bloody marble shop, just 10mins from our destination & being told he'd be back in 45mins. We said no give us 5 mins & we'll be back. Then we had to endure a tour from 2 women of the shop. A waste of their time & ours. He should have given us the option to stop or not.
Overall it was a good stay.

Stayed here with family for 3 nights and it was perfect. Room was spacious, clean and modern yet retained the early colonial architecture which makes it so special. Our room overlooked the Perfume River and street below but the double glazing on the windows cut out all traffic noise.
Breakfast was inside on one morning but outside on the other two. I found the high humidity a little overwhelming so in fact preferred eating inside in air-conditioned comfort.
The swimming pool was important to us and Hotel Morin's pool was perfect. Crystal clear and a decent size.
We did not eat in much, preferring to try the nearby eating houses.
We highly recommend this hotel to anyone preferring the style and ambience of a bygone era yet the convenience of a modern fit-out.

Our room was very clean and spacious and we really liked the fact that it was overlooking the Perfume River and Trang Tien Bridge. It was really a sight to see especially in the evening time. The beds were quite big and comfortable. The outdoor dining area is very beautiful, but the variety of options for breakfast could be improved. Overall, the hotel provides a very comfortable stay.

We didnt have a partcularly special room for this hotel - no river view or balcony - but was still a large and comfortable room. Staff speak good English and breakfast is outdoors in an attractive tree shaded courtyard. Right in the centre of Hue, and has a small outdoor pool. Small touch that I liked: pot of salt in the bathroom marked "for the bath". Booked as part of an overall package, so cant comment on value for money.
