We had a great 2 night stay here, the rooms may be a bit dated but we thought the suites (we were upgraded) were very large with 2 bathrooms, our 2 children loved this, clean, staff very friendly and helpful and breakfast had fantastic choice. It is in a great location with restaurants, laundry, shops all across the road. They do need to do some work on the pond and fountain but this would be our only criticism. Would definetly stay here again.

This hotel has definately seen better days. The pond area that overlooks the river has completely fallen into disrepair and lends an air of dilapidation and neglect to the hotel. The rooms were okay, the bathroom was dated, the location was good, breakfast was okay. Our room overlooked the street and it was pretty noisy.

Room Tip: Stay elsewhere

We stayed for 2 nights and although not bad, the hotel is very dated. You could imagine it being quite grand in its heyday. Apart from the seventies decor, the rooms are a good size and clean. The safe was unlike any I've seen and we could not get ours to work (old fashioned dial not digital). The location however is very good, outside the entrance are many shops and restaurants. The breakfast selection here was disappointing compared to others we've had on the trip.

This is a large city hotel (165 rooms) with a nice pool and river views. The breakfast buffet was huge and delicious with many options (incl. many Vietnamese dishes). Value for money was excellent, service was good and the location was also good, though it’s a relatively long walk to the Citadel (ca. 40 min.) Of course, one could also take a taxi or cyclo…

Room Tip: We booked via agoda and got a nice discount from the rate on the hotel's website.

We may have had some wonderful hotel experiences in Vietnam but this was not one of them. The hotel was dated (bamboo overload) however this would have been acceptable if the staff had been more helpful. For the first time in Vietnam we found ourselves surprised by the general lack of enthusiasm of the staff to provide any sort of assistance or help. The breakfast was just about adequate but - for instance - when the milk ran out and we asked for some for our coffee we were met with a shrug of shoulders and little assistance.
I do not like giving bad reviews of any hotel however I hope the management of this one will read and take note that even with a dated decor a smile and friendly staff would go a long way to overcoming this!
Unfotunately this was the only real disappointment in a wonderful tour of Vietnam

This is the sort of hotel that caters to large tour groups, but one of the nicer ones, and good value at 40USD a night including breakfast. I stayed here for three nights in a river view room. The room was a good size, with two twin beds, a large desk and an armchair, with a balcony. Everything was clean. My main problem with the bathroom was the shower, it would only clip into the wall at one angle which meant water went everywhere.

The breakfast selection was nothing special, but adequate, and they had the only brown bread I saw in my whole time in Vietnam. The bar is very expensive compared to other places, better to go get your drinks elsewhere, there is no shortage of bars or restaurants up the road which you can easily walk to.

There are some cool croaking frogs in the water features that make noises that sound almost like barking, it's quite special! The pool is fairly dated, it looks like it was built in the 1960s, but it still does its job as a pool.

Room Tip: River view is nice. If you have a room facing the parking lot, you might be able to hear the strange...

We had a lovely room overlooking the river which was very relaxing. The hotel is very well situated, just a short walk into the town, it has an outdoor pool and wifi is available free. Breakfsast was not as varied as we would have liked but was adequate
