MinMax Travel Day Tours provided most of what we needed on our family trip. Still, there were a few times we ventured out and about to find restaurants and shopping without the tours. While in Hue, Vietnam we obtained a recommendation to eat at Les Jardins de La Carambole from the locals. It is a French restaurant with Vietnamese and French cuisine. We soon found they offer breakfast, brunch and late night meals.
Almost anywhere you eat or travel in Vietnam it is going to be affordable. Most meals were between $5 and $20 making it perfect for our family to afford. The food, service, atmosphere and value were all just what we had hoped for. The ambience alone made you fit into the culture and enjoyment of the city. Here you can make certain you are dining in a restaurant you trust if you are afraid of eating on the streets. More importantly, you can try Hue cuisine. It might not be the most authentic food, but it was enough of an experiment for the kids, so we got through the meal without trouble. It was also easy to get to from the tourist areas.
