This is a basic but clean hotel just outside the tourist area. The room is fairly large with plenty of room for two (hard) double beds.

The staff are what makes this hotel great as they are always helpful and interacted beautifully with our children. Breakfast is good with a nice view across a river from the roof top terrace.

The hotel organised a car for a trip to the tombs which was good. They also call taxis when required and it is only a short trip to the markets and other tourist areas in town.

Value for money.

We were greeted by a very warm welcome to this hotel. A real strength of Hanh Dat is its staff, who were genuinely helpful and friendly.

The room was a great size - two double beds. It was stylish and comfortable. We had a few minor problems, we got locked out of the bathroom and the floor flooded, but the staff sorted these out quickly.

Breakfast was huge - two baguettes per person was a bit too much, but at least there was too much rather than too little. The distance from town was a bit far, so consider this if you don't like walking or have children.

Overall a lovely hotel that is really trying to do a good job.

We stayed in this hotel for two nights. We booked the suite and it was clean, modern, spacious and comfortable. Location was good and walking distance to most attractions. Staff were friendly, and provided service with a smile. Good breakfast on the roof top with nice views of the city. For the money you will not be dissapointed.

Based on late arrival on 21 July and departure after breakfast on the following day

Pros :
Nice roof top restaurant with good view
Food - good .
Staff are very courteous
Wi Fi - But not all areas ( have difficulties on the roof top )
Able to change currency in the morning through a lady probably from town ( rate slightly above market rate )
Good jogging river route . Not much traffic

Cons

The furniture is a bit old but room is kept clean . Considered good based on its 3 star rating .
Location -Not really at the centre of town but approx. 10mins walk via a bridge to town.

The Hanh Dat hotel is a hard one to rate. The rooms were clean, service good, location reasonably quiet, breakfast not great but better than many Asian hotel breakfasts, but.....
We had a couple of issues. Firstly the hot water supply was switched off in our room, which didn't make for a pleasant morning. It was fixed while we were out for the day, but that was far from ideal. We could have used the kettle for a quick wash, but although we had tea and cups in our room, a kettle hadn't made it. There was also a piece of tiling fixed to the bottom of sink edge which came crashing to the floor after I'd given it a slight bump - narrowly missing my feet. Also, the bed was rock hard. I'm used to a firm bed in Asia, but this was somthing else.
Would I stay there again? Probably not. I'd certainly look around for other options in the town at a comparable price.
