Having read so much about this restaurant and the rave reviews, I made a reservation a day before but was stunned to find it absolutely empty on a Sunday evening when all other restaurants were buzzing. It really isn't THAT much more expensive, there was no a/c..and they have the doors closed like some elite private invitation establishment., I only stayed because of the reviews. It is pretty, but weird eating alone, no patrons even entered while we were there. Waitor stood from distance watching us, very disconcerting although I don't think he meant to make us uncomfortable. Nice touch to have cold washcloths at table.. starters of spring rolls ..fried, were good even without sauce. caramel dipped fried shrimp, (5) juicy and not heavily battered.. and mixed sauteed veg with mushrooms were fresh and tasty. sesame pork was good too. one ice cream in stock, strawberry and not good quality. the menu has many more pages devoted to alcohol than food.. yet did not have seltzer.. all in all I recommend this restaurant ..but the restaurant only had our business( $ 25) while only 1 block away Le's Garden, was full of fun, cheap drinks, friendly hugely enjoyable wait staff and making lots more money. I couldn't understand how the food could be so fresh if they have evenings as slow as last night..but it was.

Awful service. The staff doesn't speak English. The lady wasn't able to explain if the dish was big or small. And she was is not very polite.
The food is average. We had the banh nam and grilled pork with noodles and veggies. I already had better food in street stalls.
Some people are reviewing the decor ("art gallery") instead of the food.

Being located in an art gallery have this place a unique and classy feel. The paintings were lovely as was the food. The service was brilliant, attentive and helpful. This was one of the best meals we had in Hue.

The interior speaks for itself, with the colourful paintings and immaculate decor as a prelude to the over all dining experience. The local food was excellent but the service more so, as the attentive and polite waitresses taught us how to eat the local food and even offered slight commentary on the various dishes we chose. The banh beo above the rest is a must try!

We tried this restaurant because it looked quite good, artistic-elegant decor with aircon, close to our hotel and we really needed a place to cool us down in a hot afternoon.
We came for a late lunch, around 2pm and totally understood why serving was abit slow. But since we expected to have good Hue food so we set higher expectation for food quality.

We ordered Hue style beef noodle, banh Khoai - Hue style pancake, fresh sprinh roll, and fried noodle. Have to say that the Hue style noodle was a lame. Look and taste were not right, we decided to have noodle from vender on the street later and it did taste much better than this. The fresh spring roll was ok. Pancake was bad, lack of salt and the peanut sauce didnt help to make it taste better. I did not try Western food here but appearantly Hue foods in this place left not much impression. But I am not coming here for Western food so I didn't want to give it a try.
