“Fish and chips.”
Reviewed December 13, 2012

This place is great if you don't want to experience anything other than more western people having dinner together. If there's not one local in a place you've probably made a wrong turn and that's what heppend here. Never mind, he food was fine but it just lacked life or soul.

“Very nice apart from one service mistake”
Reviewed December 13, 2012 via mobile

One of our dishes we ordered, Vietnamese steamed fish was given to the wrong table (and they ate it thinking it was chicken) anyway that was the last serving, so the replacement dish we ordered was drunken coconut prawns and that was pretty average, so left us feeling a bit dissapointed as that was the last dish we ate.

Everything else was amazing. Temple club spring rolls, temple crispy noodles and fried chicken with oyster sauce.

“A taste of Vietnam in western standards”
Reviewed December 8, 2012

On the secon floor of an old European style villa in District 1. it's one of the best place to go in Ho Chi Min City if ur looking for a real good Viet food, a great wine list and a warm atmosphere. Just pay attention at the entrance coz it's really small in between an ice cream place and other shops on the gound floor.

“The Lounge area is fantastic”
Reviewed December 5, 2012

The restaurant and adjoining lounge is very beautifully decorated. There are nice antiques and it has a feel of French Indochina of old. Amongst the antiques, they have a beautiful old Victrola on display. Very cool. I really enjoy meeting friends here for drinks and to enjoy the ambiance. Very nice and relaxing.

The food is just ok and it is pricey compared to other places in Saigon where you can find much better for cheaper. Personally, I found the food to be a bit two westernized for my tastes. If you're looking for authentic Vietnamese cooking, in my opinion, this isn't the place for you.

In fact, the Temple Club is in a building with a Vietnamese BBQ place upstairs (which is very good) and ice cream downstairs. It can be a great start to an evening to have some pre-dinner drinks at Temple, pop up the stairs for BBQ and then Ice Cream for dessert. We did that one evening and it was great. Three venues in one night and all in one building.
