This street is very long. If you want to feel the life of citizens here, you should go there at night.

We visited this place on a Sunday evening and the whole street was closed to traffic. Locals were wandering around, kids were playing in the fountains and generally everyone was just having a good time. It was such a pleasure to just stroll down the street and enjoy the delights of the local culture.
We came back the following day and the street was open to traffic - it was still nice, but the place had a different vibe. Not sure if they close the street off every Sunday, or if we were just lucky, but certainly worth a stroll down if you are in the neighbourhood.

Good place to visit and lots of places around to branch off and see. This area is very nice at night when the lights all come on and the locals and kids are playing in the water.

Vietnam certainly does communism particularly well. Brands such as Burberry, Cartier etc have shops all along Nguyen Hue Street.

It’s a nice street to walk along in the daytime and has a nice park area with a big fountain in the middle.

At one end is the President Ho Chi Minh Statue and the People’s Committee Building which is a French Colonial Building.
