This is an ideal place to stay during your stay in Saigon. I have stayed at a number of places in the Pham Gnu Lao area and this place is the best by far. The service in extremely friendly, the rooms are clean and well equipped and the included breakfast on the upstairs terrace and is very good. Eggs, baguette, real coffee or a pot of tea, jam,and a plate of fresh fruit in a beautiful setting. I even had my laundry done there and the price was competitive with outside places....usually laundry at the hotel is double. I highly recommend this guesthouse....we paid $25 per night for a double...it was worth the extra $5.

Room Tip: Try any of the small "com" places. You get a plate of rice and your choice of a large selection of toppings...soup is usually free...just ask. Also don't miss the girl selling grilled quail....they are about $.50 and are the bomb! Get there early as she sells out every night.

This hotel provides a variety of room types. Although the rooms are fairly small they were clean with comfy beds. Added bonus is a lift as the hotel is 5 floors. Breakfast on the lovely roof top terrace was basic but enough to start the day. Staff were friendly and helpful, especially Hoan on the front desk. The alley is a great retreat from the bustle of Saigon. Would definitely stay there again.

We booked by accident the Ngoc Minh in 18 Dong Du street near Mekong and Sheraton Hotel. Clean rooms, good shower, staff is very friendly, location is ok, but expensive area. Breakfast is egg and toast homemade. The hotel itself has nothing charming.

Stayed 2 nights with husband son daughter in law and granddaughter. Situated in a nice quiet little alley but close to bustling Saigon. The owner & staff made us very welcome and a highlight was breakfast on the roof top terrace amonst the lovely orchids small & cosy. We also booked a day trip on the Mekong river from the hotel at a reasonable price. Breakfast was an omelette, baguette, fruit and coffee with condensed milk of which I am now a big fan.

This hotel was absolutely fine, average for the area. Had no problems as such, but it wasn't as good as another hotel I'd stayed in on the same street.

The breakfast consisted of fried egg, fruit, bread and jam, and was pretty good.

Room Tip: Its on a very busy backpacker street in the centre of town, so go for a high floor.
