“Close to HCMC Airport”
Reviewed July 5, 2012

We used this hotel for a one night stay as we wanted to be close to the airport. Pick up/drop off was organised & went without a hassle. The hotel is probably a 10 minute drive from the airport situated in a non descript area of HCMC. Staff were very organised and helpful. Room was comfortable and included a couple of little nice surprises - some fresh tropical fruit & a small box of chocolates which were yummy. Our room also included a sitting area, so we had plenty of space.
The hotel is spread over two streets & they have a staff member help you cross the street safely. Breakfast was a buffet style & very good. We were given a $20 credit each to use in their new casino upstairs. We are not really gamblers, but we went & had a little play. It is only open to people with a foreign passport. We also had dinner in their Japanese restaurant & the food was very nice & reasonably priced.
All in all, a very good little airport if you want something close to the airport.

Room Tip: We booked a Delux room in the new wing.

5 minutes from the airport. Free pickup / return. Despite other reviews, we had no problem with that service. The one problem we had was that we booked through Agoda or something and it put down 1 person instead of 2 - and infuriatingly there was an additional charge for a second person in the room. We got in late, were leaving early in the morning so were only looking for a quick night's sleep, didn't make sense to go 30 min downtown at 11 pm to go back to hit a 9 am flight. So back to that additional charge, what difference could it possibly make if there was one of us or two? I couldn't get any logic out of the front desk, the manager, whomever. The room was completely adequate for the price, I can't speak for any of the other hotel amenities. The bed was fine, the room was clean, the bathroom was fine. This isn't a choice if you are using it to visit HCM - or maybe if only for the day, there are better choices for the price downtown that are more convenient for that, but as noted, if you are just coming in from domestic to international or vice versa and need to stay overnight this is not a bad choice.

Room Tip: Can't really say much - was only there once. Check the differences in rates though, I got the u...

spent 1 night here at this hotel near the airport. to start, they did not pick me up at the airport even if they confirmed a day before but it is ok since they let me check-in earlier. i chose this hotel because of its location, near the airport, great for rendezvous point if you are going somewhere else. i talked to the staff in the morning and they said it would be ok to accept 2 more visitors (because i only paid for 3 plus they will just stay for a couple of hours). they agreed on this and even offered their pick-up service for the 2 occupants and the other 2 visitors (maybe to make up for not picking me up that morning). then when they arrived at 2AM, a couple of hours before check-out, suddenly they don't want to accept the 2 visitors because the visiting hours are over. i know this is policy but the morning staff agreed on this and even offered pick-up for the 2 occupants and 2 visitors. what's bad is that the first thing that the reception guy told me is that they won't let the other two go up and they will let them stay at the restaurant which is closed or still open but the lights and air-conditioners are off. i told him to coordinate with the morning staff and said that this was already arranged that morning when i arrived. he made some calls and after a few minutes of arguments i finally decided to pay for an extra just so we can re-pack and plan our trip upstairs, maybe freshen up a bit because we are leaving in a few hours. i remember a staff, named Thai - i think, telling me "its just a small fee and its not mine." i've been in many hotels and i don't think that is one of the best things to say to a customer. yeah, sure its policy and 50USD is quite small for some (not me though) but my point is this was arranged earlier and agreed upon, they should have told me in the morning that there will be a fee or an issue regarding visitors at night. i would have agreed to pay or rent another room if that's the case but i'm pretty sure the morning staff understood me.

anyway, all in all, still a good place to be. may still be one of the best meeting point near the airport, rooms are new and spacious. toilet is clean, i saw one cockroach though, a small one. morning staff ok, evening staff not so ok. staff not well coordinated. just my experience.

Room Tip: get a room in the new wing

We didn't choose this hotel but were directed to it by one of the hotel desks at Ho Chi Minh airport having arrived late at night in a thunderstorm. We took the room with some trepidation as it felt like a state sponsored hotel and didn't look great in the pictures.

However it was a) very comfortable and clean b) not too expensive and c) had very obliging staff. It is nearer the airport than the city centre - which is what we wanted but may not be your choice.

The room service meal was pretty mediocre and the mini bar pretty empty but those were minor quibbles.

We stayed for 4 nights. Picked 2 parties up at airport at 1am. Makes coming to a new country easier. Our room was very nice, gave us an upgrade. Kept our suitcase when we did some overnight trips. Swimming pool was perfect for hot days and the kids. Had sections for both. It is a $5 taxi ride to city center. They give you a list of the good and bad taxis to take. The taxi ride itself is fun. Get to watch all the motorscooter traffic. We recommend this and will stay again when we return to HCMC. Breakfast was very good. Western, eastern, cereals, and as much youl can eat. Staff was accomodating to all of our needs. A little language barrier, but my fault as I don't speak Vietnamese.

Room is very clean and comfortable. Staffs are extremely helpful and very pleasant. Facilities, sauna, swimming pool and steam bath are cross the road. Swimming is free but you have to pay for the use of the Sauna and steam bath and you have to have a massage. The charges are double that which are stated in the hotel book in your room, the reason being the charges mentioned in the book are for the owner and the staffs need to be paid a "fixed tip" which is the same amount. So if you are going for the use of the facilities which sound great, don't get excited. However, on the plus side, there is a free transfer from the airport. Moreover, the non-smoking room. I am in one, but surrounded by smokers in different rooms on the same floor. I don't need to leave the room to face the unpleasant smell, the smoke comes under the door. They do have, however, a non smoking floor. Site seeing desk in the hotel is a let down, although helpful to provide information and make the booking, for some reason, tour operators don't come and pick you up from the hotel and you have to go to them.

Room Tip: If you are a non-smoker, ask for a room in no-smoking floor. Ask the staff if you need any thing, th...
