“Teddy bear for son”
Reviewed May 5, 2013

We stayed three nights using points. As requested the hotel had arranged baby cot and baby bath before our late arrival. A nice point was the teddy and the special baby amenities set they had put in the baby cot. Also the room faced the street it was quiet. The bed is higher than usual but features a good mattress. Windows can be opened which is as well a nice feature. Overall what you expect from a Park Hyatt. Prices are accordingly.
If you like to use points for the breakfast buffet it gets however more expensive than the room itself.
Check-in, check-out, room cleaning all where efficient and friendly. From service side it is defiantly one of the better hotels around. The location is great.

Stayed there 3 nights and truly enjoyed it. The rooms were great. Park lounge was a great place to end the day with a cocktail. Food at Opera was super. Staff was very friendly. Situated in a nice part of town. Good reason it was #1 rated.

We stayed 3 nights in a Park Suite on the pool level. We absolutely loved being able to access the pool directly from our room - made all the difference with a 10 year old daughter who wanted to swim, swim, swim whenever we were in the hotel. A great oasis of calm amidst all the madness of HCMC. The best breakfast, hands down, I have had in any hotel. It took us until day 3 to realise just how delicious the pork baguette was - I wish we'd realised earlier and I'm tempted to fly back to HCMC just to have another one! We'd never stayed in a suite at a Park Hyatt before and felt like rock stars when we were greeted by name on arrival and told we could check in in our suite. Perhaps this is standard in Park Hyatt's world wide, but it was a lovely start to our trip as we'd just come off 12 hours of travelling from Australia and were ready to crash. The concierge organised all our excursions during our stay in HCMC and they did an excellent job - we particularly enjoyed the Vespa tour through Vietnam Vespa Adventures. The prices were no more than I could have booked online but I felt much more confident booking through the hotel. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to HCMC - really worth the splurge!

Room Tip: If you can, get a room on the pool level with direct access to the pool. Makes all the difference!

Great location, luxury decor and amazing service. The staff could not do more to help, very professional and courteous. Loved their swimming pool, the rooms are very well appointed and provide everything you possibly need during your stay. Noticed some small signs of wear in my room, but nothing that affected my stay. Hotel has a couple of restaurants with great food, lovely lounge with piano player in evenings. Their Lam Son bar has nice music and DJ in evenings and certainly offers the best cocktails, which I would highly recommend trying. My favourite was Saigontini. Their breakfast was very plentiful and fresh, i would however prefer the cost of it to be included into the room price. I stayed there twice and would certainly come back.

The hotel is a gem, great at atmosphere and a point of quietness in a busy city. When you walk in the door you feel like walking into a mansion and the city falls of your shoulder.

Service is outstanding.

Lobby, restaurant are all very nice, the pool very nice too in a garden setting although on the roof.

Clearly this park Hyatt tries to achieve an 'historic' and classic look in corridors and rooms. Not really my style but nice for those who favor such environment. I find it actually a bit to basic for level they try to offer.

The hotelrooms already need some painting here and there since it shows wear and tear after few years of operation.

As a last point of criticism, the breakfast is not as extensive as one would expect for a PH hotel. Fruits are often not ripe.
And I find the price for it not ok.

But if you like the top in the city, no other choice and it continues to be my choice for the various business visits I make.

We had a very short stay here - an overnighter between flights, but everyone of the staff we encountered could not have been more courteous or helpful and I would definitely chose to stay there if I were to visit Saigon again. The room was compact but well equipped and the Spa looked as though it offered a great range of treatments. It was also good to see that there is an outdoor pool and loungers which would be great to use after spending any time in the noise and chaos of the city centre!

Walk through the doors of the hotel and the hectic nature of Saigon disappears. Friendly, English speaking staff and a generous sized pool made the stay all the more enjoyable. The hotel location means that you're walking distance to the most high end retailers, great restaurants, significant locations, as well as eateries and shops for the locals.
