to be curious about vietnam history, we visited this museum. Everything is well-organized. They shown lots of period of time that vietnamese people struggled to get back independance from China, French and American. Good place to visit

Old building with its own charm.
The Chompa section in the centre is particularly impressive.
Worth visiting to get an appreciation of Vietnamese History.
Museum is closed between 1130 and 1330. Not to be confused with the war history museum which is on a different site.

We enjoyed visiting the museum which has several floors of war collections, interesting articles and photographs. The museum illustrates clearly the suffering that the Vietnamese people went through during the war and explained the legacy of Agent Orange and chemical warfare. We were fascinated and at the same time horrified by the attrocities which were commited and at the level of suffering. The museum cost just 15000 dong, about 75 cents for the entry fee which is great value. We took some excellent photographs outside of some of the captured, shot down and left behind USA military vehicles. The museum is an interesting place to visit for a half day trip.

The museum is enjoyable. Some collections are not very interresting but all has the merit enlighten us on the history of the museum. In a museum each hour there is a puppet show on the water (price supplement)

Though its just photos of victims in War Remnants Musuem..it was heartbreaking. I hope this will not happen again in any part of the world. The musuem shows alot of details of the war.
