Arriving half an hour before the War Remnants Museum was due to close for lunch, we wandered around it, then looked for somewhere close by to have lunch before returning.
We stumbled across Nhà hàng THƯỢNG HẢI which was just a few minutes walk away, and recommended by the person in the fancy bakery opposite.
We walked up some stairs and sat looking out onto the road watching the world go by which was great.
We were the only Westerners in the restaurant which was exciting, especially for our first day. We chose a selection of dishes from the extensive menu (not the frog curry!) and all were really good and reasonably priced. Note: They serve a warm beer but with a glass of ice.
Don't be put off by my photograph of just a few dishes from the extensive menu.
