“An experience”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 29, 2013

We were lucky a Starbucks had already open when we were there so we wanted to check it out. I always get a mug from every city a travel. it was crazy there. Its 3000 sqft and it was so busy i never saw anything like it. Its a hang out place in Ho Chi Minh City. It was a good experience. The drinks were good not like back in Canada but it will do.

“Good drink and decoration”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 5, 2013

It's a very nice outlet indoor and outdoor. When I was there, it was the only outlet in Saigon so it was so crowded. Their service was good, good drink.

“Not as expectation...”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 3, 2013

So I realised a Starbucks shop in VN so I decided to give it a try, since i've seen people and celebrities waiting in lines just to get their coffee. The cappucino was okay, pretty typical that i didn't see anything THAT special, but my friends' drinks (something besides coffee with fruit flavors that I dont remember what it was) was very bad and bitter. The doughnut was colder than it should have been and the sugar was ill. The cake was left for too long and became bland. I don't know why people still want to gather here. Sometimes I have a feeling people bought coffee for the brand because the drinks wasn't very good in spite of the overly high price. Consider hard if you have the idea to come and try since my experience was nothing but awfulness. I personally would rather spend my money somewhere else.

“An "experience?" My rear end.”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 6, 2013

Just to be fair, I gave this place another shot. It was worse the second time than it was the first, and the first was horrible. Someone mentioned you have to go because they don't just offer coffee, they offer an "experience." I would hate to live in that person's world, if they think this place offers you anything other than a terrible experience. Long lines, people cutting in front of you, and no control at all. I know, I know. People cut in line here all the time, so what's the big deal?? Well, if you've been waiting 20 minutes in line and they do it, it's a little irritating. This Starbucks is located on one of the busier circles in town, right next to one of the bigshot hotels. Just getting to it is a pain in the rear. Oh, and they give you a little ticket for your Wi-fi. One hour max. Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, with much better coffee and prices, will let you sit there all day long with their wi-fi, and the atmosphere is a lot more laid back and relaxed. If you're the type that needs an "experience" of some sort, then try it. But it is nothing like the SB's back home. Be prepared for instant "rat race" while ordering, and then you'll need the Pope's blessing in order to find a seat. Of course, you can always stand out in the middle of the place, looking around and around, hoping someone will get up and leave. Good luck with that. Do yourself a favor and find the CB&TL or Highlands Coffee. They're all over the place, and they're usually not too crowded.
