Visited Hoang Yen Buffet Premier restaurant located at Bitexco Centre in the heart of District 1 as invited by some close friends for a party of seven.
Entrance was spartanly decorated and have no entry statement at all .. Was lead to our seating and given wine list which was not elaborate and delightful enough so we chose a bottle of Pinot Noir from Argentina which turn out being below average .. Pretty acidic without the fruity and rich aroma scent.
The buffet spread was not well spreaded out in a orderly way and at the end of the kitchen was the all time favourite BBQ seafood but the waiting time for them to cook your selected food was so long that you loose your interest in no time so I abandon the queue n go look for other spread which was not really impressive as the display was not artistically done. I had to open ten dishes cover just to find two palatable Vietnamese food and the Japanese section looks cold and tired which turn you off
Dessert selection was usually nice with some delightful fruits and local bean curt red bean platter probably as a desperate attempt to appease unhappy customers at the Q line..
Will not probably return as HCM has other choices with better options for the prices this restaurant is charging..
