This was our first visit to Vietnam and the Saigon River Boutique Hotel the first place we stayed. We had a wonderful welcome form the staff, who greeted us with cool fresh juice and encouraged us to rest whilst adjusting to the time difference. our room was on the 3rd floor with a balcony overlooking the street life below...it was spacious and comfortable and very clean.
Breakfast, freshly cooked to order and delicious and included a range of teas to choose from, was served in the rooftop cafe which had wonderful views and was cool in the morning heat. We liked the fact that the location was relatively quit but still within walking distance of several places of interest. The staff arranged a great tour for us on the Mekong delta, with an extremely knowledgeable and amusing guide who grew up in the area and took us off the well beaten tourist track. When we had some problems with the next place we were staying in...the staff couldnt have been more helpful in sorting it out for us...and they made sure we got o the airport in time. Our few days there were a brilliant introduction to Vietnamese hospitality and welcome..we felt we were among friends. Thank you all of you.
