I had originally set out to go for a drink at Vasco's on the recommendation of Lonely Planet and some good reviews here. I think the bar and the restaurant may have recently traded places (the bar is now downstairs), and perhaps for this reason there was no one in the bar.
Vino shares the same complex, an ex opium den (there is also a great restaurant in the same complex Hua Tuc) and it looked much more inviting and so went in there instead. The outdoor tables are great for people watching given all the restaurants and bars in the complex. It had the most extensive wine list I had seen anywhere in Vietnam and the wines were reasonably priced. My glass came with a free small tapas plate which I thought was a nice touch. The service was attentive but not obtrusive. Would definitely recommend it for a drink and perhaps dinner if you are feeling like something light or a change from Vietnamese cuisine.
