If you like night, restaurants, sports and go to sleep late> GO TO BALI HOTEL.
The street is very noisy, have "life", if you like paceful and tranquil trip dont go this street. The hotel? OK
The staff? Friendly. With MR IHU' you have good support.
IS TO NOISY.
I ll return at this hotel, good location.

Room Tip: Rooms with windows perhaps will be best.

Location is good. My room with window at 4th floor can hear the noises from the street. For me I still can accept the noises and won't affect my sleep. If you like quiet sleeping place this might not suitable for you. The hotel breakfast is average - not many choices and still value for money. The hotel staff service are polite and helpful. I stay at this place because it is very near to Sinh tourist, and nearby got so many restaurant, pubs, spa and massage, If you want to go attraction like ben tanh market and saigon post office you might use taxi or buses.

Room Tip: Choose higher floor to avoid noises.

Following a lonely planet tip we booked three nights at another hotel on Bui Vien, and got to that hotel at 4am, after a very delayed flight from danang. As soon as we got to the room we knew we had to change rooms as soon as the sun would come up.

And we're so glad the room was dirty. We found the Bali Boutique a few meters down the same Bui Vien Street, and we knew we had found our place in Saigon.

We stayed on the 7th floor (and i recommend you do too if you're planning on getting some sleep) and the room had two windows, plenty of light and a nice bathroom. The hotel also has very helpful staff, professional and super polite.
They also helped set up a tour, with plane and boat tickets, as well as hotel in another town. We were getting quoted much bigger sums on the travel agencies that you find in every door on this street, so we just decided to book everything with the hotel staff. Great service. We asked about city tours, and they just gave us a map and marked all the spots we had to check out, all within a reasonable walking distance from the hotel.

It's located right in the middle of Bui Vien caos, but manages to be a safe haven, with it's quiet air-conditioned reception area and restaurant area, where you'll have the buffet breakfast every morning. nicer than expected.

Room Tip: Try to get a room on the higher floors, this is a seriously noisy street.

Seems nice on the web but very small. We had the family room 101 at back of hotel.
Looks onto a concrete wall and has prison bars that would not go amiss in Alcatraz! Advertised as 35 square metres. Who are they kidding??! Was not even half that size. Room was clean enough but the bathroom disgusting, mould all over the shower and the ceiling covered in some sort of black growth.Looked like it was about to cave in any minute.
Hotel is very dark and dingy and seems very cramped, and unless you are an insomniac, dont stay here. One good thing, the staff very helpful and Miss Yen on the tour desk very good as reccomended by others. Go see her.
Overall, we paid 46 USD for this and found a much much better hotel around the corner 200 metres away for 30 USD. See my other reviews.

Room Tip: Dont stay in 101, horrible and dank and mis-advertised.

For anyone that wants to stay right in the middle of the Ho Chi Minh party district this is the place to go. Decent sized clean rooms at a pretty good price. Came with a awesome breakfast and friendly staff. Going back in two weeks to stay again..

Stayed here a couple of nights. The location is on a street that is popular with tourists at night. The rooms were a little small but in good condition. The breakfast spread in the morning was basic but good. There was self-pour coffee and juice. There is also a free computer available for use in the lobby. Check-in and check-out were fast and easy. Otherwise I had almost no interaction with the staff and have no comment about them. I was given a room facing toward the street. As noted in other reviews there are outdoor cafes that serve into the morning. Some street noise was audible in the room but it did not interupt my sleep. To quote from the movie Showgirls, "If a light sleeper can't sleep with the light on can a hard sleeper sleep with a...." I guess I must be a hard sleeper.
