Cititel Boutique Ben Thanh Hotel
Ranked #56 of 982 Ho Chi Minh City B&B and Inns

This hotel is hidden from the main road, down a dirty little lane. That said, our taxi driver phoned the hotel to get directions and they sent out a guy with a trolley to meet the taxi as the little lane is not able to have cars down it. The reception by the staff is excellent, and the rooms outstanding. The hustle and bustle of the adjacent ( just a few metres) city might just as well be a million miles away because the hotel has a very quiet setting. Free WiFi, good A/C, lighting, TV channel choice is good, Staff are friendly and very efficient. I have stayed in hotels all over the world and I have to say that I could not recommend this hotel more. Do yourself a favour and come and stay. I booked through Hotels.com and paid £11.50 per night for my 2 night stay. Best value I have ever experienced.

A little hard to reach since it is in a small alley a few meters from the noisy square, but that proved a big advantage since the traffic is heavy at all times, and the hotel is very quiet for the location. The staff was very attentive, the place is very clean, and the hotel is walking distance from Ben Thanh Market, and from the backpackers street, as well as very near the Reunification palace and the War museum (which I don't recommend unless you want to have a hard time reviewing a very dark chapter of recent history). I will check in again next time I go to Saigon.

Room Tip: The rooms have no view, but considering the non-stop heavy traffic in Saigon, this is actually an ad...

In a small alley. I do not feel unsafe at any time even late night. Location is super. If taxi has problem finding it, say 'Nguyen Trai' and 'New World Hotel' and use your hand to draw a circle. (Nguyen Trai pronounced as Gween Zhai), it will get you there. You walk a small alley 20 meters to the hotel.

Polite courteous staff. Rooms are excellent (standard is good enough but no windows). Deluxe comes with window. Hotel breakfast is mediocre. Housekeeping is very sloppy. I was left without bath towel in the room.

Overall, it's a hidden gem. Super price on Agonda (< US$30). You won't find similar standard at that price for this area. :)

Room Tip: Avoid rooms on 7th floor as people need to get past you to go to 8th floor restaurant. It gets noisy...

Very nice hotel. The hotel is in a small alley. This might be strange at first, but it makes the hotel also quiet. Staff is very friendly and helpful.
Breakfast is a bit basic. Toast, jam and eggs or Vietnamese breakfast. Might be nice if they would serve some fruit and fresh coffee.
Rooms are spacious enough and clean. Very good bed. Bathroom clean.
Location hotel is on the other side of the park of the backpack area. Short walk to Ben Thre market.
