Initially, i was not interested to go there. But the moment, i entered there, i really forgot everything and enjoyed so well. Please dont miss it. I dont know; it seems to me, war remnant museum should go first before this one.

Really enjoyed the Independence Palace. Really interesting and architecturally beautiful. The bunker was fun and all in all an interesting step back in time.

If your a history buff this is a must on your list of sightseeing in HCMC. Great to learn about the French and get down into the bunkers and experience what the war would have been like that. Hats off to all those that served!

This was very interesting - a great way to gain insight into Vietnam’s history and see some beautiful buildings and rooms. You can explore all over the palace and read the descriptions posted for each room or space. There is also an option for audio or guided tours, but it is definitely doable with just the descriptions (and a bit of follow-up googling). Worth seeing, if you have the time. Make sure to look up the hours before you go - they have a long lunch break from around 11-1 I believe.
