Owner description: This fascinating government building, significant for its role in the Vietnam conflict, is preserved almost exactly as it was in 1966.

A good place to start to learn more about Ho Chi Minh and the history of Viet Nam.
I loved it... and learnt more about Viet Nam here.

Tips:
Wear comfortable shoes / sandals (That are meant for walking)
Take your camera
Relax and take your time wandering around.
Best to go without a tour group as you wont be rushed off to the next spot of the palace before you are done with a point. (You can always 'eavesdrop' to guides giving information to their ppl around the palace.)

Thank Dolphania

We attempted to see this attraction twice within the open times posted and each time the gates were closed and we didn't get the chance to get inside.

The Reunification Palace is very different from other palaces like Buckingham Palace and Forbidden City, nothing really historical but the tour to all the big rooms will help one to understand how presidents had lived before the fall of Saigon. The building itself is very big and outside it is a very large garden.

was abit boring, but quite amazing how they can have such a beautiful place back in the 1960s. saw a very old merc model. and the underground area where it is used for war, where the president sleeps especially.
