Owner description: This fascinating government building, significant for its role in the Vietnam conflict, is preserved almost exactly as it was in 1966.

The 1960s modern building is located close to the Post Office and church in central Ho Chi Minh. The ground are nicely landscaped but the building itself is rather plain and if you are not a local pretty boring. Check opening times as it closes around noon.

It was a disappointment - I think we expected much more but it was interesting to see how they lived before Saigon fell. I think it is worth a visit but you won't spend more than hour an hour going through the entire palace.

Although this is an extremely historic building, it feels more like a display of mid 20th century furniture and fittings than a building with a strong political story. Maybe it was our guide or maybe it was because there too many tourists but it wasn't an immersive experience.

It's an essential stop for anyone interested in war history, but still highly recommended for any traveler to better understand the history of Vietnam. Visitors can see many appliances of the palace like furniture, bed, and several rooms where its depend of their functions

I really enjoyed touring this historic site where you meet History in Vietnam. The ancient palace where the president of the former Republic of South Vietnam resided showcase the living and the working conditions that prevailed. You will like it because it help you out everything, i.e. the Vietnam War, in context.
